Description:
just another blues instumental!...I love 'em! This was the opening tune in a recent live broadcast I did...

This features an actual live musician other thatn myself, that being the lovely and talented BRUCE WARD...he laid his solo down on my little yamaha keyboard after a rehersal for the live show...it was a single take...so thanks Bruce.

the guitar tone is a bit experimental for me...but i think i like that flatness, and I'm looking for some feedback on that.

thanks to Mystified for the feedback on the mix.

Lyrics:
if i had it to do all over again,
i'd do it all over you

Hardware:
prs guitar, line6 pod, yamaha keyboard, smiling bruce

Software:
gb2

Very smooth! &mdash 07/17/05 - 03:01:13 PM
Great playing as usual Ziti..I think the tones sound fab,
they certainly put my tone to shame! A bit of a latin
Santana-y feel to this one, cool keyboard playing too
Nice

performances. Everything's real pro as usual!

This sounds better... &mdash 07/17/05 - 04:13:59 PM
...at my house than at your house...Which is pretty
damned good...

The actual notes and overall sound are really good. There
are a few points after the introduction of the second,
Fender-y tone where either the mix or something sounds
roughish...the guitar tone itself is slightly rough...I think it
might be a mix artifact....

Yeah, there is the ziti-does-Carlos-doing-Peter-Green
thing here...I think one of the "unsung heroes" of this
track is the backing track, which has nice swing, nice
motion, without detracting from the guitars that come in
over the top...You get a lot of praise, and justifiably so,
for your soloing ability on electric guitar, but I think you
can garner some praise for the less glamorous work of
making the backing tracks sound cool...to me they don't
end up sounding like one guy in a room laying down
tracks...they sound band-like...

It is, of course, fav'd and dowloaded. Well done.

Ed

Anchor Inn &mdash 07/17/05 - 04:29:27 PM
I used to jam at the Anchor Inn, Beer Bar where they had a
jam on Sunday nights. This was a fav chord progression!
I love it. Swingin' stuff!

Mmm mmmm... &mdash 07/17/05 - 10:59:41 PM
Good!
I'd love to see this live! Great playing, z!
I've probably heard this tune a dozen times, now, and it
never gets old.
Thanks, z, for sharing your music here.

Cool guitar sound. &mdash 07/19/05 - 08:56:28 AM
That pod really does the trick. I particularly like the clean
sound you use halfway. Processed as all hell, but cool
regardless.

Tone-a-licious &mdash 07/19/05 - 03:52:05 PM
Your tone is real nice. This tune is beautiful.
I'd really like to hear just one ziti guitar in a tune, sometime. I think I tire of hearing too many guitars. Don't get me wrong, I like what you do with all the layers, but I don't know if I'd heard a different approach from you.
I think I just know what's coming. It's a signature sound that you own which is very cool. Maybe your live sound is quite different.
You've got chops to die for. I suppose I'd like to hear something unexpected. I hate to sound critical, I'd like you hear you shake it up.

fat sound &mdash 07/21/05 - 03:01:40 PM
Well, first of all I bow to your professional skills and stunning performance. Jupp, starts out with a decent and careful approach, and rolls on into a harmonised wall of sound. Pro performace in both guitars (as usual) and organ:)
Nice when you lower the pace a while out there, and leave room for the crispy (experimental) guitar sound. Is that recorded through the POD and direct into GB, and not through an amp? Sounds like that... I think I prefer a clearer amp feeling in the guitar sound...

But, you know your trade.. thats for sure:)

fat sound &mdash 07/22/05 - 12:35:35 PM
thanks thoddi...my old line 6 amp is just for gigs now. It has been replaced by
a POD...which is basically the same as the amp...only no speaker cabinet. I've
always used the line 6 right into the mac...line 6 is awesome. the cleaner
tone came from one of the many amp models and speaker simulations
available. I highly reccommend the line 6 stuff to guitarists and bassists with
home studios!!!

thanks for the kind comments as well!

Slamin Jamin &mdash 07/22/05 - 02:41:46 PM
Sounds like you were having fun letting loose. Nothing
like having it all flow off your fingers like water on a slide.
It's like taking a journey without going anywhere
physically. Nice tune and playing.

Pretty Cool &mdash 10/14/05 - 06:51:58 PM
There's lots of nice stuff in this tune. The cliched opening conceals the good stuff, I think.

Your guitar playing is so excellent my ear is now weary of hearing it. Now I feel like I want to be teased with more drawn out stuff.

If this tune had more teasing in it, I'd listen to it again and again.

What did I do? &mdash 10/17/06 - 07:30:42 AM
After listening to this one many times latest days in my iTunes collection,
I decided to go here and tell you once again how great it is.

Then I find that didn't I comment on it when it arrived ... Why ?? ..
(question to myself) ... seems like I just did download, fave and go away.
Sorry for that. This one is worth a lot more attention. It is one if the
greatest instrumentals I know of, even considering such guitar players as
Dickey Betts, Peter Green, dadai, TEXASFEEL and Jimi. /Curry the late
