Description:
inner thoughts of someone waking up in a stranger's bed after a night of drinking, heavy drinking.
Lyrics:
Did we? I think so.
The less, the least, the more I think of it
The more they,
the least of them, thought so.
I did. Didn't I? Don't you want me to?
It's better to think so.
We didn't. Did we? I think so.
The less, the least of them. They didn't know. They didn't. No!
Did they?
I won't if you say so. How much do you know? I did. Didn't I? Why is that?
It's better to think so. It's more or less better than worst.
Why Why Why
Why is that ?
Why is that?
Who should decide? Should I decide? Why don't you say so?
No!
No!
Maybe not! Maybe so!

Taking "garageband" a bit literally? &mdash 07/19/05 - 05:17:44 PM
There are some nasty vocal spikes on this. Can you tame that
with a compressor?
At least it sounds like you had fun. I think so.... [ Reply to This ]

Done that... or did I? Huh?
fun tune that could use some production work- too much
high end... bass was buried. That said, I really like every
component of this song- guitars, vocals, good bass line,
drums... the whole smash. Even with the production
issues it had a very appealling played live feel. Almost like
a bootleg cassette tape. [ Reply to This ]

.....though the production levels could definitely be brought up. I also like your willingness to venture into genres like this. Very cool. [ Reply to This ]
Thanks, &mdash 07/20/05 - 06:13:24 AM
I tried some different techniques for this. I sang the song fiirst with only a drum loop and then I added the guitar and bass. Then I went back over with real drums to give a more "live" feel to the song.
The production issues are intentional. I listened to an old demo tape of a punk band I was in in college and even though the production sucked (1 mic in a dorm basement) , the soul of the music still lived. So yes, I was going for a "Garage band " feel to this one, and "Broken Hearted" [ Reply to This ]

This to me is fine just as. Raw energy, passion don't need
a pretty bed to lie in. Sounds live and makes you want to
move. [ Reply to This ]

That ruled. I really wish I was that good, but I'm not. I loved it, it sounded so bad quality that it was good. You just rock to be honest. Long live you person. [ Reply to This ]

really pull off a decent live show in a hole in the wall local venue. its great, no one would expect more than this at a local punk show. as a matter of fact, i wish there was bands like this in my town, it would be fun to hear in a circle pit. music like this has been missing from a lot of local scenes due to the shift from classic punk sounds to street punk and thrash/grindcore sounds. a balance of all would be ideal. keep rocking. good idea. watch the mix and the armony of the vocals, it kind of clash
in some wave range [ Reply to This ]
