Description:
A simple little song that I wanted to sound like Bob Dylan's "One Too Many Mornings". But of course it actually sounds like me.

Artwork is a painting by Lambert Sustris that hangs in the Lourve in France.

Listening to this makes me think that this is what is really
wonderful about this website. Creations like this one
made in Texas. Such a sweet, heartfelt, lovely tune.

Really nice...sounds like you are playing on your porch as
the sun goes down. The vocals have a vunerability which
is really effective...nice guitar and dobro work.

hard to make my type voice sound vulnerable or sweet but the secret I found
is to record when you are so tired you are barely able to sing.

Thanks for giving us another real nice tune to hear. Love is
always a subject to sing about no matter how it's treating
you. I really enjoyed this. The lonely harmonica and slide
guitar are excellent touches and your heartfelt singing is
comforting.

I guess we do abuse the word "love", much as we do the
word "hate".

This is really great. Vocal is solid, and the harmonica and dobro accents are really tasteful. I don't hear "One Too Many Mornings" in this too much, just Bronco, and that's a good thing.

Thanks Jim. Yeah, it always turns out to be all me. I was just saying that
sometimes I start out with a certain sound in mine which might influence it
some but I'm not really trying to sound like someone else. In this case, I think
the quietness of the vocal and harmonica were influenced by the
Dylan song.

The best way to sing about love is in little ditties. And ones that admit how little we know are the best kind. You capture a live feel, which is not easy. Nice. I enjoy the way you move along that fingerboard.

It's got a real emotional intimacy that comes from your
voice, the guitar and the harp. Really liked that slide. Like
the simple nature, the recording style. Not easy to do this
and have it come out sounding this good. And there's just
no way to get away from yourself. Good thing, too.

Thanks zendog! You are very astute in that you touched upon another one of
my theme's over the years which is you can't run away from love or yourself.
In another of my song's "I'm Just A Man" there is a chorus which goes, "Some
people they just don't understand. You can't live your life by sticking your
head in the sand. You can run but you just can't ever hide. It's like being on a
crazy roller coaster ride." And believe me I have tried sticking my head in the
sand on more than one occasion.

nice guitar and harmonica playing, but the words...mmm...are quite interesting and thought-provoking...perhaps I am too naive or ideal, but I don't understand why some people can't think and feel beyond what is physical...why must "physical improbability" occlude the heart from the feelings of love and the mind from believing?...true love endures even if it remains unrequited...of course, it may ail the feeble physical frame of man, but one should take solace in knowing that his heart and mind are pure, selfless and free from the "physical improbability"...love because you want to but don't try to seek it or its justification in the physical world

Well, I think we aren't too different on this. This, in my mind at least, was a
song about people not respecting love but taking it too lightly and turning it
into a cliche! Yes, you can have love without two hearts physically beating in
rhythm to each other. That was my point, that people use physical metaphors
and cliche's to describe something which is of the spirit and metaphysical. It
is a sad fact that it is hard for two people who do exist on the physical plane
to connect at a deeper level.
