Description:
This one started out as a tribute to Mungo's "My Mountain Audition", but then evolved into something else entirely...

It contains portions of Mungo's "My Mountain Audition" and "Lettuce, Punish the Guilty"...it also contains a few pulsing sounds taken from a Green Velvet tune, a guitar chord from a Gories tune, some sonar pings... the layered erratic bloops in the second half and the large slurping synth sound at the end were created by Perceptual Vortex.

The artwork contains input from Mungo and PV as well.

I should also mention that some of the electronic tweaking in this was influenced by Glorious Monster and K Möller J...

Enjoy!

*The Unanswered Question, Part 2 &mdash 07/21/05 - 04:22:29 PM
I hear the Glorius Monster influence loud and clear. This is
such an incredible piece of work. I think I have told you
before, Eric, that you are like *Charles Ives, putting the
pieces together that no one, or very few, appreciate. But
one day, one day...your work will be widely admired, and
you'll be, well, over There.

Highly enjoyable.

good to get positive comments. I'm still thinking about our collab... it
will happen one of these days!

at first, this comes at me like a backtrack for bjork.
but by about a third of the way through, it's obvious
that it has it's own identity.
you have such a great talent for blending the fringes
of experimental sound with a gritty urbanity that can
tunnel into a wider perspective. it's the place in
between the two things that i think you capture so
well.
this piece shares a certain subliminal hypnotism that
I first got hooked on with Wave Chamber- but this
definately takes me to a different place, it's gutteral
and primal. love it.

Thanks Eccentrik... sometimes I don't even know what the hell I am
doing, but to hear others describe it in such a way helps to clarify it.
Now if only I can graft one of your great melodies onto my noisescape...
wait! we are already doing that... _nderscore! Where are you!!!?

Cool mesh of sounds. I should try this some day - taking bits of everyone else and Doofifying it. Ok, that could get scary. lol

You SHOULD try it! Then you don't have to worry about whether you are
using a sample illegally... just ask the friendly neighborhood
Macjammer in question... most people around here would probably not
care!

Thanks again, PV, for letting me mess with your bits and pieces (or
"dead ends," as you called them)!

I influenced someone?! &mdash 07/24/05 - 11:24:21 AM
Thank you Stun Nutz! That's very touching coming from an artist as talented as yourself. It's an honer to have my name in the description of a song as cool as this. I love when the drums do that thing... that "a-boda bo-om-da-omp" patteren. The stuttering backround noises are excellent as well. You have a sound like no other electronic musician out there and you create such destinctive, strange and beautiful sounds. Keep it up.

I influenced someone?! &mdash 07/26/05 - 10:33:27 AM
It's great to be surrouded by so many different varities of talent and
creativity here - so much to learn from. Listening to your tunes made
me think... hmmm... I should try this, or that... it pushed me in ways that
I may not have gone otherwise, so thanks! I am floored that you think so
highly of me...the feeling is mutual.

Kept waiting for the lyrics to kick in, but all the same worth
it!

Twisted groovy motion &mdash 07/25/05 - 11:24:23 PM
This was way cool in a way that I don't quite have the words for...Can I just say, that this tune just elevated my little buzz-on that prior to hearing this tune, I was quite dissappointed with it...You are indeed, one of the masters of sound scapes and textures, but this one had a nice kind of twisted groovin motion. I'm on my third play trying to hear how you worked such a uniquely different kind of beat or syncopated movement so well. Is there any way that you could ask words to share the workings of this twisted, groovy little Mungo machine...I'm intrigued. Nice work. Very nice work.

Heh, this was an interesting listen. You got a lot of subtle
things going on in there that kept me listening closely.

Another really great piece. Always like the hard metalic and industrial
noises you manage to create.
