Description:
"A musical tribute to all those fine gals walking around Silicon Valley. You know what I'm talking about." - Mister Power Pop, KSCU

Lyrics:
Crossing Mathilda in black capris
No chance you're gonna look at me
Dented Honda and a dead-end job
Wrinkled shirt and badge saying Bob

Cause you're a Yahoo Girl
and I know what that means
You're a Yahoo Girl in hip hugger jeans

Outside of the Java Cafe
I could barely get outa your way
Flying by in your shiny A-6
Carload of high-tech hippie chicks

Cause you're a Yahoo Girl
and I know what that means
You're a Yahoo Girl in hip hugger jeans

And the reality I can clearly see
It’s an irony that isn’t lost on me

I'm a Yay-hoo and you're a Yahoo Girl
I'm a Yay-hoo and you're a Yahoo Girl
I'm a Yay-hoo and you're a Yahoo Girl
I'm a Yay-hoo and you're a Yahoo -- Girl

Daydreaming on the 101
About the days that'll never come
Cuz while I’m thinking about us
You're writing code in C++

Cause you're a Yahoo Girl
and I know what that means
You're a Yahoo Girl in hip hugger jeans

And the reality I can clearly see
It’s an irony that isn’t lost on me

I'm a Yay-hoo and you're a Yahoo Girl
I'm a Yay-hoo and you're a Yahoo Girl
I'm a Yay-hoo and you're a Yahoo Girl
I'm a Yay-hoo and you're a Yahoo Girl
(repeat & fade)

Nerd rock! &mdash 07/22/05 - 09:32:34 AM
I like the C verse a lot... Nerd rock. Excellent. Another
really well put together song...

Stunning rock. &mdash 07/22/05 - 11:13:17 AM

Oh my goodness. MacJams really puts the music industry to
shame. This is one excellent rock song. I would so buy the
CD.

But Mac not &mdash 07/22/05 - 08:47:02 PM
Not to be a snob and all, but the site IS called MacJams,
and from
what I can see from the software and hardware listed, no Macs were
harnessed in
the making of this song.---
sometimes more feet than shoes.

I always loved this song of yours &mdash 07/22/05 - 04:04:31 PM
So is this a new version? What's different? Anyway, it's at
least as good as the version I downloaded and faved before.
You guys make a great band. I hope you have a lot of
success with your music. Keep 'em coming.

PS: PUT YOUR NAME ON IT &mdash 07/22/05 - 04:18:18 PM
I downloaded it and found that none of the tags were filled out. That means
your name isn't on it, let alone any other information. It is very important,
especially with very commercially viable music like this that you fill out the info
so that when it comes up in iTunes or some other player it shows who the artist
is. Do it for the listener's sake, for you and your band's sake, and for the sake
of the record producer who loves the music that got forwarded to him but has
no idea of who the artist is... or for radio DJ's who'd love to play it on their show
but can't if they don't know who's song it is.

I really need to write a form letter for this issue that keeps coming up. It's a
regular gripe I have.

A hit! &mdash 07/23/05 - 01:42:25 AM
I couldn't see why this tune couldn't become a hit, I mean
outside macjams too!

It has got all components that makes a hit. Simple and
catchy melody, poppy tune, apt lyrics, humor, distance.
And, at least here in Sweden, I bet people would eat the
theme, they love anything that is about what they call
"new technology", that's still hip here.

I hope what I wrote now doesn't look like irony. I really
think it's good creation (you can see that I'm on the fan
list) and I admire the craftsmanship in doing simple catchy
pop tunes as well as apt lyrics. I have no idea whatsoever
how to do it myself. Wish I could write this sort of stuff -
would help a lot.

I amazed though that this one isn't already out there - if it
doesn't make a hit in US I am confident that it would in
Europe ... and maybe Japan and other places...

Congratulations!

A hit! &mdash 07/23/05 - 01:55:20 AM
... forgot to mention that the production sounds really professional too ... when I
listened first time, I thought someone had made the joke and posted a hit
record ... but then after a while I heard that there were some little small out-of-
timings and the like, that the sony recording studio would have corrected before
issuing. You have done almost all of their job though!

interesting play on words &mdash 07/23/05 - 08:18:59 AM
Like that lead guitar . .

Voice fits in well.

Sounds like live drums which sounds cool to hear.

Radio ready &mdash 07/25/05 - 07:59:41 AM
This great pop music. (Not sure if I'd put it under Folk,
altho...) It reminds me of Simon and Garfunkel's Red Rubber
Ball in joyfulness and energy. The lyrics are clever, very fun.
Your delivery has great energy and is radio ready. Great
track.
