A friend needed a song for a doc he's working on for a software company so voila. I had no clue what genre to put this under....until Tom suggested folk and then I realized it inhabited a folkish spirit.

Thanks mando, I always struggle with the mix, I do these at my friend's
computer and we're never quite sure how much vocal is too much, I'm still at
a self conscious place with my vocals but its always fun to sing and that's all
that matters right. Thanks for the support. gosh I LOVE THIS SITE!

I've heard enough and I've officiallly marked myself as a
BoiAfrica fan. When do I get my autographed 8x10?
You are just a wonderful, wonderful songwriter and I think
your vocal instincts on this song were just terrific. Just
enough ommph, not too little at all. I think the
background vocals are terrific.

Your voice is sensational, BoiAfrica. It naturally has a
lovely tone to it, but you also use it VERY cleverly to get
incredible depth of expression. Seems to me your voice is
at its strongest when it's soft and understated because
that's where you get the most expression into it.
It's a lovely song with a catchy rhythm and nice chord
structure. The warm but simple guitar arrangement is

thanx Rebsie, from you that's a huuuge compliment, I keep listening to
Pictures in Heat and grooving to that certain something in your voice. I was
watching an episode of Real World on mTV the other day and I honestly said,
pictures in heat would go so much better with this montage.
