Lyrics
In tune with you

Somethings got me going
it may be so undefinable
Somehow I am rolling
on my way towards you

Love to wake beside you
and watch your peaceful face at sleep
No one can deny me
the love I have to keep

And I have found the tune that suits you

When we share a good day
and the sun comes to our hearts
we play so good together
there can hardly be a better place

What happened to the other version?
What happened to the version of this you posted yesterday
that I commented on?

Anyway, I love it. I hope you read my comment from
yesterday. I said all sorts of nice things and made some
comment about dropping the bass from the vocals to fix the
popping. I don't hear any popping in this version so maybe
you took the advice and fixed it. Maybe I'm just imagining
things. Wonderful tune, great lyrics and performance.

ah
I compared this to the one I heard and downloaded
yesterday. You did a lot of work. Really nice improvements.
Don't know what all the changes were but I certainly hear a
number of them and they're all great choices. Vocals sound
much better. I see you cut out about thirty seconds too.
Damn, this is a great song.

ah
Thanks, you had some good comments on the first version:) I was a bit to
eager to get it on the web, but wanted to refine it some more so I replaced it
with this version. Your comments was noticed and hopefully brought along in
to this new one. Thanks for the nice words. Glad you liked it:)

Great instrument mix
Such a great sound. I love the balance you've created, the 3d
field you've made for all then instruments, everything has
such a great sound to it, and the separate entrances starts
the song out really well. So intimate and true. The strange
rolling flanged drum thing makes the track unique, dreamy.
It rolls along with such a nice pace. My ears kind of wanted a
bridge that added just one more layer of something to the
story, but that's just me. This is a wonderful John Mayall type
mix. Great track. Kind of folk rock blues, very pleasant
listening, perfect for the message.

Great instrument mix
Thanks Tobin. Your commens is welcome:)
I agree about the bridge. It could open and rest a while before getting back on track again.
Also I'm not quite confident with the vox on this. I would like to have someone with a voice more suited for this style to sing this one. My voice comes out a bit shaky here and there...

Great instrument mix
You are being too harsh on yourself. Your voice is perfectly suited to this
song... it really helps the emotion of the song show.

Nice one
Love the tune, vocals and instruments - nice production
(for using stuff that was just lying around). Particularly
liked the vocals, and found the first set of harmonies
lifted the song a lot. Great lyrics!
Your voice really suits the song, I wouldn't use anyone
else's - it's perfectly suited.

Nice one
Hey, thanks. I get very varied responses to my vocals. Some say, like you that they like them but others doesn't care so much for them...

I guess it's vital (maybe more for me than others) to find the best key suited to get an optimal punch out of my voice. This could maybe have been pitched a few notes...

Glad you liked it:)

Great appeal!
There is too much good about this song to get into a lot
of detail... all the little things work so well together... the
harmonica, guitar noodling, bass, vocals, harmonies...
everything. Great poetry- especially the line "And I have
found a tune that suits you." It's one I wish I had written!

Great song- downloaded and faved.

Yeah, the more I listen...
...the more this creeps into my head and heart...

There IS some 'Blood On The Tracks' to this, and there is
some of The Band...It has nice echoes of something like
'Acadian Driftwood'...It has something of a Rick Danko or
even Robbie Robertson feel...

And your posted picture makes you look like Bruce Willis...

The vocal is great, the instruments are folksie and
intimate and stay out of each other's way...This stands up
all on its own as a SONG...It feels immediate and present
and intimate and RIGHT...

Really, this is what feels like 'home' to me in the world of
music...This is what I'm always looking for when I sit down
to listen...

Thanks, thanks, thanks...

Thanks Ed, I'm overvelmed by your comments. It makes me feel like I manage to put a little life into my songs. I have, like I guess most members at this site, a true love for this and maybe it shows a bit:)

BTW, my father sailed the seven seas so maybe I have a twin over there who's busy making films;)

Soft & refreshing
Nice one (sounds very professionnal !).
Harmonica reminds me of Dylan and soft rolling rythm of
Neil Young.
