Praise The Evolution of The Simple Mind

Description
This is a song we wrote about 3 years ago.
We usually would do a live one take of a song
just to get the idea down. Recently we've done that with the songs "Apathy"
"My Song 2" and some others. Now we record most our new songs just acoustically. It's cool cause it's minimal setup and mixing. However, on this track we
went back to the studio, sort of.
There's comfort in futility.

Lyrics
I watched a spider climb a plastic curtain
Always falling it still tries
Never reaching it's destination
Praise the evolution of the simple mind

I heard a voice sharing it's convictions
Yes a dead horse will gather lies
Some seeking the same tired old solutions
Praise the evolution of the simple mind

It knows nothing...

So many sides to this circle
Can't understand the hows or whys
All rewriting my constitution
Praise the evolution of the simple mind

Basic rock and roll
This is garage rock at it's best. Three chords, no waiting.
Great line- "So many sides to this circle"!

Oh yeah- Great song art!

Yeah Man!
Duhh, extuse me but I haff dat simple mind. Interesting
lyrics as always. I loved the imagery of the spider climbing
the plastic curtain. You always see the little twists to life
and then make these great songs out of them. I would
have liked the vocals up in the mix but realize that in this
type of song it is all about the energy and the rhythm.
Nice tone on the rhythm guitar and a nice little
descending pattern. Overall, not your best but still good!

The title drew me in...
...and the song kept me. Reminds me a lot of some of the
early hardcore, Black Flag, Suicidal Tendencies, etc. Very cool
lyrics, nice thick, cruncy guitar. I wouldn't mind hearing the
vocals mix up a tad, but that's a minor thing and it might
just be me. Very cool tune.

Thanks for the very nice comments. Yeah, I wound up tweaking this tune,
particularly the vocal tracks while wearing headphones. Guess I buried the
vocals a bit. I think there will be a remix at some point.
Thanks for stopping by it's much appreciated! Rock on!
