Remember To Forget

Description
I'm always trying to write something a little more rocky, but whenever I try it just turns out to be pop again! This is a little rockier than my usual stuff, but still had to put it in pop because I wouldn't class it as rock.

Lyrics
You’ve forgotten how we started
You’ve forgotten why we parted
But you remember all the arguments
You’ve forgotten all the laughter
You’ve forgotten “happy after”
But you remember all the times you cried

BRIDGE
I’ve tried to show
But you say no

CHORUS
What about the times that I made you smile
Made you laugh out loud made you high and proud?
What about love that we used to make?
Did I waste my time trying to make you mine?
Don’t forget to remember to forget

You’ve forgotten days of glory
You’ve forgotten the whole story
But you remember all the loneliness
You’ve forgotten nights of passion
You’ve forgotten the usual fashion
You’re acting like a damsel in distress

BRIDGE
I guess we’re through
What did I do, to make you forget?

CHORUS

What about the way that you used to feel
You’ve forgotten what is real
What about the way that you used me quick?
Guess I wasted my time trying to make you mine

What about the times that you made me sick
Made me feel so low didn’t know where to go?
What about the way that you used me quick?
Guess I wasted my time trying to make you mine
Don’t forgot to remember to forget

CHORUS

Guitars
Need some guitars. Guitars will help it rock out. Great track.

Definitely...
...some nice crunchy guitar would give this tune the punch
it's looking for. Sounds great as is.

Nice song
Really nice song with good production values. Sure, it's pop, but so what. Nothing wrong with pop music. Like the other comments, we need some more electric guitars--that'll give it the rock sound you're looking for. I liked the odd keyboard thing that kicked off the bridge I think. Good song with a catchy chorus--nicely done.

Guitars
Yeah, one problem though: I don't play guitar. I realise that I
need guitar in this song now, because other people I've
played this song to don't even recognise the Garageband
MIDI guitar - they think it's some kind of keyboard effect
(which is what it is literally), but just wish it sounded more
like a real guitar. If anyone wants to give a go playing the
guitar on this track, let me know! Would love a real guitar on
it. Thanks for comments everyone.

Guitars
I SO know how you feel about the guitar thing, as I don't play the guitar either.
You should put out a call on the forums for that, and you will most likely get alot
more responses. This song has alot of really good elements in it - good chorus
and some very well-written lyrics. But a more "live" sound would definitely give it
the kick you are looking for. Cheers, D.

Great song
Like the general tune/sound, great lyrics. Your voice
is pretty good, quite original. It's a bit rocky and a bit
poppy but I agree with the others, it needs some
guitar… Daphna's right, you should get someone to
help out via the forums… there are lots of great
guitarists on MacJams. Also, you need real drums or
you need to improve that drum sound… it's a bit
leaden at the moment. But otherwise this is great. I
will check out some of your others later.

Good pop-rock.
I like this as it is.. Guitar might make it more "rock", but I
don't think it is necessary. Have you ever tried writing a
piano-driven rock song? (Like Ben Folds?) I think you
could write some rockin' piano tunes.
