Hmmm... Well, I did this yesterday mornin'...was in a bluesy mood I guess...

Lyrics are from back in the day... me and my best friend Jeremy would collab on some tunes an record 'em on some ghetto recorder...ahh those were the days...he would do the lyrics an I would do the music bit...

You got a "blues" great uncle or something? Once again,
this shows your versatility as a well rounded
musician... and you got the rest of your life to pursue your

This is a great, dark, nasty blues song. I really like it. A
song by someone who's already too gone to cry for; the
guitar playing is really expressive, too. The whole thing
has a nice stripped back feel to it.

This is some of the best blues I have heard in a while.
Restrained, softly edgy. Your voice is cool. And I
love that guitar thingy you do. A macjams blues

So subtle and summer nice. When you changed the lyric to
"You can cry if you want to" I had to smile, it was a wonderful
Indian Jones moment (when he points to his bruise for a
kiss). I felt like you could have had more slow build stuff a
little earlier, and more instrumental breaks earlier too, cuz
they are so nice. But the whole thing is so sweet. Such
restraint you show. Your voice sounds great all the way thru,
just right. Wonderful track.

Some of my favorite versions of some things are the simple
"demo" like this one done with an acoustic and voice and
nothing else. There's a real intimacy there that a slick
production won't ever achieve - one of my fav. examples is
Personal Jesus by Depeche Mode - the single guitar demo
they played on KROQ before they finished the "real" single
was much more satisfying to me. There have been others,
but I always remember that one. It's probably also why
"unplugged" got so popular for a while - it's just nice to et
right in there w. nothing between you and the artist. Sweet.

Man, this is a great acoustic track. Your voice is warm and smooth, bluesy guitar and that kick-ass raw sound. Excellent track. I did notice something though, it's weird how great musicians can be so modest - you are both.

and you could sell it in the lingerie department. Everyone
has said it already but I'll go for it again. There's great
restraint in this, very laid-back playing that obviously has
tremendous power behind it. Your voice is perfect for the
tune and you show great restraint there as well. Very nicely
done.

I was going to bail when I heard it was an acoustic bit. I'm
glad I stayed with it.

The guitar is great, some lovely licks in there, and a really nice groove. Then there's the singing - great soulful, bluesy performance, understated but very effective. You got the blues for sure. Nicely done. Peace.
