Production didn't sound that bad to me ;)
Good guitar play in there, and you have a groovy voice, so in short a good song to listen to!
Maybe an idea would be to try a rock approach, and insert drums/bass or anything to give it more 'bite' towards the end? I missed a bit of emotional development through the song.
