Filthy Mind

Description
This song isn't like my other songs. It's very "poppy," but that's how it came into my head. This is basically a long complaint packaged in a happy tune.

Lyrics
This filthy mind, it overflows
with the awful thoughts that it knows
and it knows you like it too

This filthy mouth, it talks and swears
says the awful words it heard somewhere
and it sounds a lot like you
and what are we to do?

This filthy heart is filled so high
with the awful feelings that made it cry
and it bleeds just like you

This filthy soul is torn apart
with the awful effects of a filthy heart
and it fades just like you
and what are we to do?

i don't know why this life is ending
or why it's a bore
i don't know why it left me standing here
wanting more

this sunny day cool wind that blows
so many things i'll never know
and i want to fight, but that's the way it goes

I understand why i'm still here
the awful words made it clear
and i guess it was something i didn't want to hear
in an empty apartment year after year

Nice
First of all, I really like the lyrics. Very cool.
Fine production... you might want to pull the volume of
the vocals down a tiny bit...but that might just be me.
The song gets a little bit repeatitive by the end, but it
never gets boring, so I guess it isn't that big a deal.
I liked this one.
Good job.

Around the middle of 2003, I started attempting to write my own music, meaning songs that weren't trying to copy someone else. And I finally bought Garageband and some recording gear in January 2005. I'm from New Jersey and studying in Utah. Becau... [see more]
