Description
By mistake I put up the old version with out a lot of backround music and new vocals.
Here is the new version!
: A Love Ballade in form of a dialogue between a Lady and a Knight.A mix with medieval and folkrock elements.
***********
Here is a group from England-West Germany->(Duo Contores Errant)< that I collaborated with from another website:
I play lead acoustical guitar in harmony form in some lead sections.
Duo Cantores Errant :
Members :
Marijan P. Horvat, Germany :Songwriter, Electric and Acoustic Guitars, Keyboard, Vocals, Lyrics and Production
Gillian D. Whitehurst, England :Songwriter, Acoustic Guitar, Vocals, Lyrics
Musicstyle: : Worldmusic, Folk, Folk-Rock, Medieval, Renaissance,
Baroque, Celtic and World Traditional
Since November 2004 we have been recording collaboratively using the internet to cross the boundaries of physical and idealogical geographies.
In July 2005 we recorded together live for the first time in the same place, at the same time in South West Germany. Following this we had enough songs to create our first album together "Ripples from the Pool of Time". Duo Cantores Errant is the musical partnership resulting from that process.
We both have very different musical and life backgrounds and so our music will reflect this. Marijan has roots in Rock and classical music, Gill in Folk and Jazz. Our common ground is that if the song does not pass through our hearts on its way to the page, then it's not yet a Duo Cantores Errant song. In this we are eachother's Watcher.
Duo : Two people working together
Cantores : In song, singing
Errant : actively seeking growth
Genre:
World, Other
Country/US State:
Germany
City or area:
South West Germany and England
Joined:
August 5, 2005

Lyrics
Knight
Lady, Let me take from you a lock of golden hair
To weave into my aching heart a chain to keep you there
Lady
Sir Knight you need no talisman to bind my heart to you
As surely as with chains of steel my love is ever true
Knight
Then take from me this token, think daily you to me
So I might sense your feeling and you my presence see
Lady
Sir I need no token to think upon your name
As often as you think of me then I will think the same
Instrumental 1
Knight
Lady, thou art contrary you'll not recieve or give
What point in my returning if this is how we'll live?
Lady
To keep your good opinion I'll take your our token, cut my hair
But it's not by sorcery alone that true love we can share
Knight
Then take from me the moonlight, it reflects now in my eyes
and ever in the deepest night it's then you'll think of I
Lady
No greater sweet suggestion could you think to me bestow
And you'll see me also up there in the silver starry glow
Instrumental 2
Both
Then walked the Knight and Lady spreading laughter in their wake
The path that's seldon trodden the path they chose to take.

Sounds almost like it could be from a stage production
musical. Very different. I love the way it builds through the
song. Very nice mix of the modern and traditional. It works
very well. Very nice concept peice. I would love to see the
lyrics posted. High marks all around!
