Lyrics
I was so wrong
to do what I did
to say what I said
I was wrong.

I was so wrong
isn't that what you say?
when things go
astray?
I was wrong.

I was a fool
to think that
you would stay
not even a fool deserves
to be treated that way.

I was so wrong
I was selfish and cruel
not thinking about you
I was wrong.

And sorry doesn't cut it
and there's no apology
can undo
the heartache
caused by me

I was so wrong
as you walk away
the last thing that i'll say
I was wrong.

Wow
Great harmonies! Both vocal tracks are both not only in tune
with each other but the are also in sync, which is often hard
to do. The song could do with maybe one backing
instrument just to give some "more natural" rhythm as I find
the drums a little synthetic. Great performance though.

Great and unusual
I like this unusual and minimal arrangement. Dont think it
needs much more than this to make good music. An
arrangement like this kind of stick out. if I heard it on the
radio I would stop to listen carefully.

I also like the lyrics. Admitting shortcoming is hard,
especially emotionally. But it is one of the best starts for a
new life a human can have. At some time in my life it has
been like a start for a new life.

And the reverse: not to repent gets us stuck in what
happened for years and years, maybe the rest of our life.
And that's a very common way we humans do. We blame
the other person instead, just because we dont want to
look at ouselves.

I dont mean, of course, that we should stay forever in
repentance. After apolgy there is growth, so I believe, and
know, that apology actually DOES help!

Cello

Cello Cello cello cello cello cello cello CELLO CELLO CELLO CELLO.

So I don't know you might want to add a sting-ed instrument of sorts, can't think of any (Cello) at the moment.

Please add more to this. It's a good job. If you want some other people to add guitar or whatt not, look into posting it as a collab,

Yeah!

Start over
This song sounds too old fashioned for todays age. The words are good and the voice is wonderful but the music needs to go.

Start over
Hi, Heather. Welcome to macjams. Thanks for listening. I appreciate your
comments, but there's no music in this version, just drums. In the
description I noted this was a work in progress. Thanks for your suggestion
to "start over". Actually, Jim Bouchard helped finish it,
http://www.macjams.com/song/15127 . That's the newer version with
music.
Maybe you'll still think it's too old-fashioned for "today's age", but I, for one,
think today's country, in no uncertain terms, sucks. It produces work that is
neither memorable nor soulful. The great thing about Macjams is it's open to
all sorts of genres, styles, and levels of talent and full of people just making
music for the sake of making music. Looking forward to listening to
some of your stuff, heather. Thanks, kelli
