I Want To Know Me

Description
This is a story of modern angst. It's a test to see what's the slowest BPM I could make a song and still have it be interesting. You be the judge. It's a slow build, so don't judge it in the first 30-seconds!

Lyrics
Everybody’s got the time
Everyone’s a bit sublime
Everybody’s got to know
That this world is worth the show
Baby, I want to know me

Everybody’s in a rush
Every day the traffic’s mush
Every time the coffee’s poured
All I want’s a little more
Baby, I want to know me

People come and people go
Aeroplanes fly to and fro
Rat race here and rat race there
I am just a little scared
Baby, I want to know me

All I know is that it’s going to slow

There’s very little left to think
What people know is what they drink
Advertisers fill the air
And TiVO tells us to beware
Baby, I want to know me

All I know is that it’s starting to flow

All my friends are strangers too
My reflection’s a lot like you
Sitting at a desk all day
Reminds me of my yesterday
Baby, I want to know me

Bouncing babies, bouncing balls
Clip art hanging from the walls
Waiting for the Morning Man
To have us do it all again
Baby, I want to know me

All I know is where we’re going to go

reminds me of...
James Kochalka vs the Postal service.

Nice track Beatmonkey. Like the vocals, fit the
minimalistic soundscape.

Thanks. It's funny you mention Postal Service. I have another song I'm going to
put online soon that sounds a lot like Postal Service, but that wasn't the
intention on this one. Have you heard of Simple Kid? I thought this was a bit
like his work, only a LOT slower...

cool track
This is a cool laid back track. I like it quite a bit. Your lyrics are really
really good! I'll also be the selfish bastard and say that I'd like to hear
a better vocal mic - your music deserves it!

Successfully Slow
What a nice smooth ride. Didn't notice any bumps and it took the curves so easily. I felt like I was still in bed.

Great song. You play my kinda leads. How come our Mac Jamz pals didn't tell me about you sooner? We could've jammed!

Really good treatment and the built in mic doesn't bother me at all.
