Description:
New version of an old song. This one is much better ;)
Lyrics:
Looking at you, but you cannot see
im getting closer
holding out my hand
its invisible, you cannot reach for it
i stand like a poser
Holding out my hand
no one did ever, give me the feeling
that i needed,
to go on
the fear of rejection, prevents me from blooming
All that i could have done,
if i wanted someone
I cannot go on
looking for people not to be found
I gotta be
looking for flowers on the ground
Looking at me, how can it be
Im getting colder
reaching out my hand
youve searched in my house, youve searched in the sea, youre getting colder
freesing on your hands hands
the fear of comittments, prevents me from trying
All that i could have done,
if you were the one
no one did ever, give me the feeling
that i needed,
to go on
I cannot go on
looking for people not to be found
I gotta be
looking for flowers on the ground

Nice harmonies &mdash 08/19/05 - 05:55:06 PM
Great intimate feel, nice melody...reminds me of some
Elliot Smith stuff. Very nice track - well done!

Very nice &mdash 08/19/05 - 08:20:25 PM
The simple style works well. Love the way you've done the
vocals. Great lyrics. Works well as you have it, but might
sound good with some background instruments coming in
somewhere in the middle maybe just to give a little variety to
the sound. Enjoyed it very much. [ Reply to This ]
catchy, light &mdash 08/20/05 - 07:18:14 PM
The guitar and your panned vocals are excellent, lyrics
what I can make out are lovely and profound. [ Reply to This ]
nice melody &mdash 08/20/05 - 09:41:35 PM
I really like the melody, particularly the vocal melody.
Reminds me of the Beatles. Production is a little crude and
raw but it sounds clean and nicely balanced for the most
part. Really a sweet song. I like the simple presentation. It
gives it a sound of innocence that goes well with the lyrics. [ Reply to This ]
Like the harmony &mdash 08/21/05 - 05:26:57 AM
Nice straightforward love song selters. Like the harmony
work and the clean acoustic sound.

Beautiful once again &mdash 08/21/05 - 09:24:49 AM
You really can make those good melodies and manage to keep them so honest and near in your performance. I dig your style selters. Hope you spend much time making music, 'cause you're good at it:)
Play on!

You can hear the Beatles in this... &mdash 08/21/05 - 10:00:06 AM
...and a touch of that John Lennon wistful
vulnerability...Also a touch of that Belle and Sebastian
sound, if one wants to update the reference...
I like the doubled vocals...
The tune sounds 'early-to-mid Beatles', while the
production is closer to 'Dear Prudence'...
I always like a waltz feel, so you've got me from the start
on that...
This is a good song at this point, and my sense of it is
that it is on its way to something even better...
Nice job, selters!

sounding acoustic piece,
like the raw production and the vox
are really cool.

whoa! &mdash 08/22/05 - 06:17:57 PM
Very sweet song. I really like the way the doubled, not quite
in synch vocal works... no sarcasm, I really liked that.
Beautiful, simple guitar. Nice one! [ Reply to This ]
awesome. &mdash 08/26/05 - 03:12:26 AM
this is great.
i especially love the chorus (and the 2nd(?) guitar in the
chorus). recalls elliot smith like he would've loved.
wish i could write like that. [ Reply to This ]
