Description:
I DONT KNOW WHETHER I LIKE THIS SONG OR NOT I THINK IT GOES ON TOO LONG. ILL LET U DECIDE
Lyrics:
longer than i can imagine
deeper than the roots
of an old oak tree
the piper comes to whistle down in titchmarsh street
the riots have already started
smoke billowing through
the cracks and the seams
as the piper comes to whistle
down in titchmarsh street
fighting for love can make no sense freedom to live your life
taking on board all innocence
she managed to raise a smile
fighting for what you belive in
wondering if she ll make it throuhg the night
pass on worldly deeds she raised your eyes
pass on wordly deeds she rased your eyes
longer than a roman legion
harder than the core
of an old oak tree
the people run on down to titchmarsh street
taller than the tallest mountain
deeper than the springs in the valleys below
the piper comes to whistle down in titchmarsh street
repeat bridge chorus twice

This is great!! Reminds a lot of Jethro Tull and I'm a huge Jethro Tull fan. The harmonies a great - is that you singing along with yourself?
The length is fine - I guess the only thing I'd like to see is some other instrument come in somewhere - flute, pipes, tin whistle perhaps?
Love to have the lyrics here and perhaps an explanation of the significance of Titchmarsh Street.
Well done!

Can a storytelling folk ever go on too long? I think
making the vocals slightly louder, more present, would
help make the sound more compelling, since the interest
is in the story. You have a very nice dual guitar groove,
but the whole thing has an unfinished demo feel. Perhaps
have an instrumental break earlier, and more of them,
shorter, to break it up and create more variations (using
differing melodic variations in the solos). I like your folk
vocal style, the diphthongs created especially for the "i"
syllable. In a long song, telling the story becomes vital;
your vocals can do that, but so can color changes in the
arrangement. I hear a cello accompanying you...
