We need more D'n'B on MJ yea its a mix of loops and original percussion.....I find the main problem with composing D'n B is the balance between just letting a groove go, and the motivation to keep adding, as you would in a prog house song. I liked parts of this song quite a bit, but I also disliked
some too. The off-beat hits in the beginning drum riff
got on my nerves a bit. Also, the snare fills seem kinda
cheap.
For me, the song really took off during the "fast and
furious" sections of grooves that you laid down. Did you
write those yourself? If so, then they rock. If they're
loops, then you at least have some good taste in
percussion.
I think you may have gotten a bit sample-happy with this
song. I would've like to see some more variety in the way
you implemented samples.
There's not a lot of drum'n'bass on this site, so I
commend you for doing work in an underrepresented
field. Hope to see some even stronger efforts from you in
the future.
