Yea.. Yea i know, Honestly i was just getting use to using GB. This was without direction or anything & ive only been using it for a month now. But i plan on buying to jam packs & i also wanna getmy guitar & drums on it too. This was just experimental for now. But i promise there will be much better music to come.. Yea.. That's the most fun you have with Garageband, is experimenting, and learning, It's not much of a curve, as I said you have the composition thing down, and next is your sound, glad you're grabbing more stuff to play with! Find your voice... Well, this is better than a lot of the beginner's fare that I've seen on macjams.com. Like parsnip, I give you an A for effort. But I must also echo his stance on the necessity to mix these loops some more. Instead of trying to use such a wide variety of loops, I'd trim down your palette a tad and work more on the ebb and flow of meshing sounds together. Play with volume fades, track panning, and the various parameters of the synth generators. Have fun learning the wonder that is GarageBand! Hope to hear more from you soon. Oh, and... Find your voice... Hey thanks!, Yea this was really just messing around with GB. I plan to pick up a midi keyboard this week. I Allso ordered the rock for garageband from AMG. I also am going to bring in some sounds from my drums too. I promise everyone there will be better. MAYBE IT'S ME OKAY, SO I THOUGHT THIS WAS BETTER THAN A FIRST ATTEMPT, BUT WHAT DO I KNOW. I LIKED THE WAY THINGS MELDED AND FLOWED FROM ONE PLACE TO THE OTHER IN A FAIRLY SEAMLESS MANNER, NOT MUCH DIFFERENT THEN THE SGF BIRTHDAY SONG IN IT'S STRUCTUE, (GO LISTEN TO IT) BUT CERTAINLY, IT HAD AN OBVIOUS INTENT. KEEP DOING IT, AND I'M SURE THAT YOU'LL FIND THAT REGARDLESS OF WHAT ANYONE TELLS YOU, YOUR FIRST WON'T SOUND MUCH DIFFERENT THAN YOUR LAST EXCEPT, THAT IT WILL BE MORE POLISHED (LIKE EVERYONE'S) AND YOU WILL KNOW THAT YOU DID IT ON PURPOSE, AGAIN. MAYBE IT'S ME Well ive been talking to alot f macjammers & everyones been alot of help. I Didnt know much of gb, then i found out how u can create your own notes using the "i" and then using generators and stuff. Too busy Starts off interesting. But then jumps around too much. If this was a graphical work I would say it was too busy. It feels like you went through the GarageBand loops, choose all your favourites, then tried to put them all in the same song. There are too many different sounds. And not enought to tie it all together. A bit too eclectic for my tastes. Check out my latest song called Up and Down - 20091120

Too busy Yea, i explained that to everyone by now. this was before i knew about all the things you can do with GB.Like, create your own sounds, use a midi/controller keyboard, hook up instruments, use the internal ones too. im working on a new one & there wont be much loops at all.. thanks for the opinion tho Check out my latest song called Take A Deep breathe, This Is The End

Haunting! I've seen some of the comments regarding the loops but I don't agree. I think it depends on your audience and obviously the ones of us posting here are familiar with the majority of apple loops. I think you've cleverly incorporated them into your song with exceptional mixing abilities. This is my favorite of the two you have posted. Great job. Check out my latest song called Doxology

Please, I know you are new and, the composition is nice,
but the mix of straight up loops are just painful. The
sound gets too (static) high as well. As you start to get
into garage band a bit more you'll realize there is a lot
more accessible stuff, to alter and personalize your sound
don't give up. You are giving the loops a voice, you need
to give yourself one.
A for effort,
But I can't rate this, can't wait for your next track though!
