Description
This is the second of a three song concept that started with "The Age of Reason." All were written about 15 years ago and never recorded. while I spent about three months of "The Age of Reason," I spent only two days on this one. It's a good bit rougher. Origonally, it was also going to be completely accoustic, but it turned out otherwise since I can't really play guitar that well. Like the other two songs in the trio, it deals with the disillusionment I felt at the time it was written. A disillusionment that shaped who I am today and still feel strongly.
The only loops are percussion loops. Standard GB issue.

Lyrics
It’s been three months since the rain stopped falling
and now the groud is dry
The people look up to the sky again
But the light of the world has yet to return
It’s been two years since the holy prophet
said the end of the world was near
The people looked back to the alter again
but there’s no one there
Sitting on the throne
To tell them what to do
There’s confusion in the eys of the little children at the end of the fairy tale
What is right, what is wrong is just another illusion
But the grown ups know
cause their faces will show
all of the lies within a truth
It’s been two days since the lover stopped calling
and now the tears have dried
The people look inside their heart again
and they see the hope
hiding deep inside
waiting for a sign
There’s confusion in the eys of the little children at the end of the fairy tale
What is right, what is wrong is just another illusion
But the grown ups know
cause their faces will show
all of the lies within a truth
and now the groud is dry
The people look up to the sky again
But the light of the world has yet to return
It’s been two years since the holy prophet

Good...the singing is a little bit off key at certain points. It's a
good song though, and has deep lyrics. Harmonies are done
very nicely as well, creating an excellent "disillusioned"
painful tone quality.
