beautiful melody &mdash 09/05/05 - 07:32:26 PM
The sounds are very synthesized (haven't heard the other
version) but that doesn't detract. Would like to hear this
extended! [ Reply to This ]

Thanks for the compliment, but extended Eric Satie? You're kidding, right?
Satie is all about the short subject. To his credit, he wrote three more
"Ogives", all very like the first, and they could certainly be played together if
you wanted something longer. :) [ Reply to This ]

Why! An extended Satie remix would be great. Just because Satie was still a classical composer (in the sense he distilled music that was meant to endure the time), this does not mean you can't go beyond the strict partiture dictate.
A good sound choice. Pay attention to clipping, there's some, now and then. [ Reply to This ]
title &mdash 09/07/05 - 08:14:07 AM
The title alone made me laugh . . . a GB version of Satie!? I
wondered if you were serious, but you are. All the better. I
enjoyed the piece completely. [ Reply to This ]

I have always been a fan of Satie's. Using natural sounding
strings would have been another choice. The synth was a
little heavy and might have actually obscured some of the
melody and feeling. I liked the electric piano.
A nice piece well played. [ Reply to This ]
