Description:
This is a collab with perceptualvortex, _nderscore and Mungo. It all started with an evolving "spine beat" that I created from some sounds that PV sent me... and it took off from there. PV cooked up a bunch more sounds, _nderscore supplied the most of the synth work, and Mungo contributed vocals. I chopped, rearranged, tweaked and put the thing back together with more added noise...and the result is this electro-psychadelic big beat freak fest...Rock on!!

like the eerie textures and that spine beat
is mean.
the vox stabs are cool, liked how it builds and
the ending is great.
good collab here dudes.
cheers
Stun Nutz
A "mean" beat... I like the way that sounds... appreciate the comment,
Mr. K!
SlimGirlFat
drenched with an eerie haunting texture in the beginning
which evolves into a miasma of soundscaped visions.
amazingly, one can imagine the nerve impulses firing as
they leave the spinal chord..
weird, but a good sort of weird..
Nice collab, mix and arrangement.
production excellent

"miasma" is another great word... now we just need to add that to
katchoolik's "mean" and we have a "mean miasma"... I like where this is
going...
Also, thanks for stopping by! It is always nice to see a girl in these
parts... especially a MacJams Queen such as yourself! It's usually the
fellow geeky noise-loving dudes who stop by (you know who you are!).
cjhoose
very raw industrial-ish sound. Yikes. Is that a gunshot? :D
Stun Nutz
Alright... another girl...guys, we are on a roll here! Thanks CJ! No, there
are no gunshots in here, but a lot of these abstract sounds are open for
interpretation... there is a sound effect of a body falling down the steps,
though... see if you can pick out where it is.
Eccentrikamerika
this certainly makes a place for itself in my
subconscious. there is this haunting little melody
that goes through hell- that's what keeps drawing
me back.
it's also interesting to go back through the piece to
pay attention to the specific contributions of each of
you rascals- i think each contributor brought out
special, unique aspects of themselves and their
styles to fit this little collage.
cheers. it's like indian food.
Stun Nutz
Yeah, there are sections in this that definitely sound more like one of
_nderscore's tunes, or even something created by PV or Mungo... we are
all cross-breeding and feeding off each others ideas. Pretty soon we will
just be this one giant fleshy undulating collective with multiple
appendages. I think I am gonna be sick.
perceptualvortex
I brought the samosas and the molai kofta.
_nderscore
does indian food go with beer? ahhh-who cares.. pass the tabouli
thetiler
Making me think there is a whole new world of internal
sounds that I am waking up to.
Thanks for venturing out into the unknown!
An artistic flair for the music of our inner being.
Stun Nutz
Thanks Tiler! It's great to get comments from people who create very
different types of music... one of these days I want to find a way to
collab with ya... somehow!
holyparsnip
Hey Stunner, this is a sweet track. You guys did a messed
up job. The in and out textures, the array hear is
spectacular! There is so much going on, bit I like how it's
not a jumbled mess.
I coulda listened to this all day.
Good job kiddies
_nderscore
i love that you look at things 'differently'. an impossibly
incredible mix, stunn. this is a total joy, guys.. thanks for
letting me play in the sandbox ;)
perceptualvortex
what _nderscore said. I'm pretty amazed at how well you integrated all the pieces. You have a great sense of dynamics, space and calamity. This features my first recorded vocals, wahu! Thanks for letting me play too, Stun!
Excellent mix/production. Thank you for letting me 'bop'.
Stun Nutz
Thanks for all the noise, guys...without you this would be a pretty bare
bunch of bones. Your contributions added a lot of depth.
mandolinquent
This is so clever; such a great mix of really
excellent textures continually evolving. Really impressive.
Can you call abstract witty? If you can, can I call it that?
drakonis
PV/Mungo/_nderscore & StunNutz, definitely a spine-chilling
force to be reckoned with! This is a fascinating and very
evocative journey to... where am I? pulsing lights & oblate
spheroids rushing past... eek, I'm inside myself looking out...
look OUT! Whew, it's over. Definitely not a Disneyland ride
with you guys involved, but very nicely 'scaped. Great use of
a variety of sounds, added reverb was perfect without getting
muddy, I liked how big and clean sounding this was, great
mixing! Wow.
ttfn,

What an eerily mean miasma of industrial Indian calamity!
Oh... wait...
;-)
You know I love ya, Stunner.
Stun Nutz
What a particulary poignant placement of prose! Hey - I was gonna e-
mail you a link to this tune... you beat me to it! Good to see ya...
ledebutant
Holy! This is absolutely incredible, I would be deeply
impressed with this if it had been the work of one
musician, but the fact that this came from four separate
people and then you put it together, SN, just makes it
even more amazing. Every single element seems as
though it's in exactly the right place.
You guys all did an amazing job. I hope this isn't your last
collab. I've downloaded this and have it on repeat.
ledebutant
I forgot to mention the incredible cover art. Did you do it, SN?
Stun Nutz
Thanks for stopping by, ledebutant! I usually do all the artwork for my
tunes. The image above is a combination of a bunch of doodles (I draw
a lot at work when I am on the phone) and a medical stock photo...
laine
Hi I love love this Inspires me to make film and Paint it is soooo visual all sorts of wild scenes are going through my mind as I listen to this I love music sound that makes me see and this has such an edge to it kinda dangerous edge. Great sounds
Brilliant* thankq Laine
K.I.S.KISMET
.....collab! I could see this as a soundtrack for a medical film on Discovery Channel or some Sci Fi movie. Loved the panning/phaser(?) effect, and the cover art put the cherry on top.
an "Aliens" type flick. On the edge of the seat sound
collage that is almost visual. This is an amazing
collab. Never dull or repetitive, if fact, just the
opposite. Completely engaging.

Dadai took the words right off my keyboard. Very moving, in
a visceral, creepy way. I can see the next victims careening
off the walls of their doomed ship as the heartless hunters
close in on their next meal. Nicely done. Great mix,
production and dynamcis. Terrific work guys.
Stun Nutz
Hey, if this is like Alien, then I am imagining Mungo as the android
character...you know, the one that spewed the white milky substance
when he was ripped in half...?!? I forgot his name.
perceptualvortex
Ash, I think...? And wasn't he played by Ian Holm who went on to play
Bilbo?? Anway, I keep thinking Alien also, maybe partly because of the
whole 'spine' thing.
Stun Nutz
You are right about Ash...(i just checked www.imdb.com)...but I am
really picturing Lance Henriksen, playing Bishop in "Aliens."
LOL. That sounds painful.

Okay, most of us are stuck in musical styles from the
twentieth century on back, while you guys are forging
ahead with this tune. Maybe someday this piece will sound
"dated", but not anytime soon!
What amazes me most about this piece is the choice of
sounds and the way they are combined. With four
collaborators, it might be easy to clutter up a track, but
you all have preserved a lot of space in this. It has room
for the ears to "breathe".
There is also a reassuring sense of continuity of beat and
sound that holds this piece together from beginning to
end. The tendency of experimental music like this might
be to drift off into a "blob" of sound, but somehow this
track has a beginning, middle and end.
Great job, all!
Stun Nutz
Thanks, Cameron... yeah, the overall structure of this was always in the
back of my head when I was arranging/mixing it. I wanted it to have
"breathing space" (quieter moments to balance the noisy areas) as well
as a definite beginning, middle and end... I'd like to think of it as a mini
symphony of noise. How's that for pretentiousness! Anyway, you hit the
nail on the head with your comment.
Peter Greenstone
What a great combination of talents! This is fascinating to
listen to. Such interesting textures, organic and electronic
together. I stays captivating the whole way through with so
many little details playing their parts. Very eerie and strange
in the best way. Very cool song art, too.
grid stalker
Really dig the synced textures, atmos and vocal fx. Dick
Tracy or Sin City Distorto. Impendingly beautiful!
Tom Atwood
Excellent combination of heart and soul and sound and machines here. I particularly enjoyed Mungo's vocals. But really, it was all wonderful. Keep moving ahead, Eric, et al.
10's/DL
Thanks, Tom. I owe my performace to Eric's direction when I got the initial
sound file (which sounds much different from how the song ended up), to go
'bop bop bop' to the beat.

Mungo
is this song.
It's a nice experience.

Stun, When I saw your name for a comment on one of my tunes, I
thought, it sure has been a long time since I had seen any postings
from him. To my surprise, dismay and good fortune, I headed down
the street to your place to see if I had missed anything. Boy did I Miss it
and missed it in a big way. Not only had you posted, but you have
teamed up with my 'heavy hitter' favorites!
It is friday evening, I am heavily seasoned to taste... :)
WOWWWWWWWWW! This is the good stuff!!! After standing up to and
contesting my envy, I settled down, laid back and closed my eyes and
did what I felt safe enough too do, I expected the best... I love it when I
can do this and what happens exceeds my wildest imagination. You
guys... Man!
Individually you guys take me, but this..., this is ridiculous!!! If my hair
could be blown back it would be.... Instead, my scull has expanded
beyond a safe comfort zone while trying to imagine how each of you
does what you do, let alone the mad trio.
It seems that everything clicked here... I remember how I had a hard
time when I was first introduced to abstract by you guys, but now I
look forward to it as much and in most cases more than most. This one
was very cool
I know that inviting me to the party might crash your intent when
creating abstract (given that what I do is noticeably structured), but I
would love to do something w/ any one of you if you should happen
upon a space that I might fit on a future piece.
Thanks for this and again, thanks for your continued support.

comes a nervous system with muscles, skin (alien of course) and head which has many faces........... another beautiful collab. where i come from.... i've never seen more than 2 collaborators on one track. this is really nice........... jarring, tingling, crunchy and somewhat warm and soothing........ this track is, well, great.

Mr. Stun Nutz You have a great whatever here. I love the beginning.
