Description:
it seems when i'm working on larger projects and a lot of colabs...(thank you everyone...i am so honored...and overwhelmed!)...i get these little interludes that come out, that are far removed from the work at hand...(slimmies shimmie is one) and i end up with these little independent pieces of music that i think are pleasant or enjoyable on there own. Sometimes when i share these little things with people, they tell me I should post them...

Hopefully this will turn into a real soul ballad with changes, and lyrics and everything..(which is the goal) and my friend KLUV will sing it.

but for now, just a liitle piece of zitiland...like a little snack...

Let me set the tone: &mdash 09/10/05 - 02:47:19 PM
....9-9-9-9....

Can ya tell that this man has listened to "Albatross" more
than once? Yeah, and some of the slower and spacier bits of
Allman Brothers jams...

Another sweet one, Fran.

Zitiland... &mdash 09/10/05 - 05:50:35 PM
...sounds like a great place for a vacation.
If the geolocical landscape is as good as the musical - then
I'm game.
You never cease to astound me.
Excellent.

A great peaceful, almost meditative track. Lovely guitar
work

Just the right piece for today &mdash 09/11/05 - 05:48:17 AM
I can't think of a better piece of music to listen to today. You
are a master of the guitar!

nice mellow and &mdash 09/11/05 - 07:45:01 AM
Now this is like what I had in mind for that thing that I
sent you. (and am still waiting patiently for...) Nice and
relaxed and soaring, simple but with some adventurous
parts amidst the mellowness, but not too much...love this!
Delicious!

soaring guitar &mdash 09/11/05 - 08:34:49 AM
Very nice guitar playing on this, as usual. You have chosen
a pleasant and mellow chord progression on which to float
your soaring guitar riffs.

To me, the swelling cymbal effect is like a special spice
that should be used sparingly -- it is cool here, but on the
verge of being used too often. It might have been more
effective if used for only the biggest "swells" in the music.

The balance of the drum track was good with the guitar,
however it might have been nice to use a few more
sounds (triangle, wood-block etc.) here and there for
variety.

As always, though, your guitar playing is excellent, and
never fails to please the ear.

Dig your dynamics man &mdash 09/11/05 - 02:09:46 PM
I dig your dynamics that comes out in everything you
post! You can make it very cool and soft and at the same
time a big reserve of power is residing underneath.

I believe your personallity shines through a little more
than usual in this tune for us who are curious (correct me
if im out o track). Nice to hear you anyway just naturally
softing like this.

So why would your personality be interesting? Well for me,
following you, one tune after another, that makes me
more and more curious about the man behind the guitar.
Who is he and how is he? I get the feeling this tune tells
some more about it, how you move and talk and things
like that.

Sounds nice &mdash 09/11/05 - 05:59:20 PM
Like the exotic guitar sounds here.
Like that almost feedback sound, that high sound you get
that is controlled.

Neat sound going up the frets and how you deaden the
strings. And the lest goes on and on.

Cool!

couldn't ask for more &mdash 09/12/05 - 03:15:56 AM
This is gorgeous. It's so lush and easygoing. No need to
keep reminding you what a great guitarist you are. Not to
say that there isn't anything you could possibly do to build
on this but it really sounds great as is. It's a breathtaking
journey.

Singing voice in morning &mdash 09/12/05 - 07:59:29 AM
Beautiful morning.
Fresh morning.
The guitar runs in the earth.
And, it rises to the sky.

Smoothland &mdash 09/12/05 - 08:37:50 AM
Excellent smooth jazz tune. Sailing thru zitiland... I imagine
it as a archipelago of islands. Each with a different style of
music emanating. Now there's a reason for a cruise.

Paws UP! &mdash 09/12/05 - 08:59:11 AM
i dont know the album of that drummer CozyPowell`s 2nd Solo " Tilt" is popular outside japan, but there was JeffBeck`s Playing tune "Cat Moves" in it.

PAW !!!!!

i really just liked it on a listener basis.
nice guitar sound and mellow background. good rhythm
and sound combination.
i didn't mind the repetitive backing track because the
guitar stuff gave it such interest.
thanks

At one &mdash 09/13/05 - 09:46:23 AM
It sure is a nice experience to hear a person so comfortable
playing an instrument. As good as you felt playing this, that's
how good we get to feel listening. So we get to benefit from
all the hours you've spent learning your craft.

Really nice, Mr. Ziti. Beautiful touch.

Spread the wealth &mdash 09/13/05 - 10:14:36 PM
Too much talent for one set of hands. So good. So real. So
demoralizing to wannabe guitarists such as myself.
Reminds me of some of Satriani's best slow pieces. I'm
going to go practice now...or make a milkshake. Depends
on where I turn at the end of the hall.

I like it, very heady. I'm not familiar with your other work but it seems you
already have a listener supportive base, add me to the list. Do you have a
cd or can find some work that you collaborate on?
