Just lovely, Steve. Just lovely.

I first appreciated you... &mdash 09/11/05 - 03:56:09 PM
...as a guitar player...

Now I'm connecting with what seems from this vantage
point to be an increasingly loose, at ease, and casually
strong vocalist...You've got nice tone, pitch, phrasing
here... your voice has a nice quality...

I continue to appreciate the guitar playing..

Nice one AGAIN, steve...

hey thanks Ejh! I hope you noticed that I deliberately kept the guitar solo
longer on this one just for you!
Cheers for listening!

Good tune! &mdash 09/11/05 - 04:29:58 PM
Nice song, Steve. There`s some interference, but overall a tasty, well-played song.

Short but very sweet &mdash 09/11/05 - 05:09:05 PM
Your guitar style is very distinctive, and beautifully played,
as usual. Lovely melancholy song. Dig that groovy
foghorn...

The Dream Is Real &mdash 09/11/05 - 08:10:22 PM
Beautiful song and your vocals and guitar keep getting
better and better. To me, it is when you can put together
something like this quick and easy that means it is real
music from a real musician. Great job.

As everyone's said above--wonderful playing, and top-

Guitar Goodness &mdash 09/12/05 - 05:48:21 PM
This is a really good sound. Your guitars sound great and I think your voice really compliments your style. I would have preferred the solos to be played on the acoustic as well, but it's just a matter of personal taste. You're a really good player!

will you add to this? &mdash 09/16/05 - 01:18:08 PM
Man, I wish I had your voice. I've been listening to your
songs. Sometimes I hear a little Warren Zevon in there,
sometimes some David Coller, or Mr. Cohen.

Are you going to flesh this one out? I want to hear more
of it.

I would be interested to hear this song (and Deeper Than
Blue as well) with an acoustic guitar solo, or some other
timbre, like piano, instead of that arena rock guitar sound.
I think that would tighten up the song.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to hearing more.

will you add to this? &mdash 09/17/05 - 06:13:17 AM
Thanks Paul for your comments, yes I am planning to develop this one and
add in more lyrics and a middle eight bit. Thanks for the Len C comparison, I
am a big fan of his.
Cheers
Steve

Expanding the lyrics &mdash 09/16/05 - 02:09:04 PM
Beautiful tune, backed by wonderful evocative guitarwork. The structure for expanding your lyrics is in place - send me an e-mail if you'd like some specific thoughts on developing them. I love that line, "My heart is out of shape."

Soft 'n' sweet &mdash 10/02/05 - 12:43:51 PM
Very soothing atmosphere you've created here.
Your voice fits it very well.
Really liked the guitar solo in the end, although I wanted to hear more of
it...
Very good!

so soft &mdash 07/17/06 - 06:51:55 PM
This is so soft and beautiful. Your guitar playing is excellent, the strings are so clear and you do have a nice clear singing voice too. Sweet! :)

Thanks for sharing!

nice &mdash 06/07/07 - 12:22:59 AM
i too can see the leonard cohen influence (but completely your own). i like the tex-mex flair in the guitars at the beginning, and the solo is nice too (would love to hear the main lead gtr running through a tape echo). great job.
