Description:
Politicians all over the world: You`re all the same! This song is about 15 years old and recently it came back to my mind. It`s not perfect, but so what! Hope you`ll enjoy...

Lyrics:
Don`t try to fix it and don`t try to care, don`t try to live without danger.
Don`t try to use it and don`t try to share, don`t try to go any further.

Deep in their eyes, there`s nothing than lies, they`re tellin` `bout future and hope.

Don`t try to use it, don`t try to be fair.

Anybody else can play that.

Gimme your future and gimme your past.
Gimme your nighttime and daylight.
Gimme your freedom and gimme your last
senses of humor and "Goodbye".

Deep in their eyes, nothing than lies,
telling `bout future and hope.

Don`t try to use it, don`t try to be fair.

Anybody else can play that.

Don`t try to fix it and don`t try to care.
Don`t try to live without danger.
Don`t try use it and don`t try to share.
Don`t try to go any further.

This is not life or what it should be.
You`re lonely, afraid every night..
Don`t try to use it, don`t try to be fair.

Anybody else can play that....

Excellent tune &mdash 09/11/05 - 03:42:09 PM
Lovely acoustic number, cool guitar playing. The vocals
remind me a little of the bloke from Jethro Tell. All in all a
great song and performance
Well done

Superb singing and playing &mdash 09/11/05 - 03:43:50 PM
Superb singing and playing! Really great and tight work. As if
effortlessly... Amazing!

I dont understand the lyrics though, (guess thats not a lot
important(?)).

good words and melody, and excellent performance as
usual!

Lovely &mdash 09/11/05 - 04:01:23 PM
Lovely melody accompanied by excellent guitarwork.
Excellent vocals - especially when the backups kick in.
Maybe it's just me, but I would've like to hear another line
right after "Anybody else can play that". It seemed to end too
abruptly. But then again - that's just me.
Anyway, great song.

a lesson... &mdash 09/11/05 - 05:44:48 PM
...in excellent songwriting. A lesson to be learned. Your
words are wise. Nice harmonies and swell guitar playing. I
wish I could do that!

Nice singing &mdash 09/11/05 - 05:55:20 PM
Nice laid back tune.

Like the added singing towards the middlle. Lost of nice
acoustic sounds.

Good Song &mdash 09/11/05 - 08:18:18 PM
cool rhythm and lead guitar to go with it. Nice little song.
Liked the lyrics overall but didn't think that the Anybody
else can play that line was good enough for a hook. It just
didn't convey enough of what the song was about.

Nice one Ingo! &mdash 09/12/05 - 02:20:20 AM
Tasty little treat Ingo - loved the vocals and especially the
incredibly accurate harmonies (I'm envious!). Guitar
playing also brilliant - though I couldn't help feeling the
need for bass and drums to kick in and take it away to a
different place. The rolling 3/4 feel really lends itself to
an extended instrumental ending.
Loved it!

Freedom in 6/8 &mdash 09/12/05 - 08:04:57 AM
Marvelous. Starts off like an intimate demo and grows into
wonderful dance of voice, with a great 70s letting go and
living lyric. Very charming and worthy of many listens.
Thanks for digging back and sharing this one! Jethro Tull
didn't make enough recordings, you make me miss them
with this.

Don't Try to Fix it. &mdash 09/12/05 - 09:23:34 AM
Love your guitar playing. Wish I had half the licks you do. You've got a great voice, too...the doubled vocals are the only thing I'd change up...maybe a harmony instead. Great stuff.

Reel good &mdash 09/12/05 - 11:56:27 AM
Excellent acoustic tune. Your singing is very natural and loose, and you've got a great singing voice.

stevel snuck in ahead of me... &mdash 09/13/05 - 07:02:47 AM
...with the Jethro Tull thing....

The vocals, particularly at the "deep in their eyes" point,
have that mid-period Ian Anderson sound, just a little...
and the guitar interplay has some of that "Cheap Day
Return" feel...

Since these are favorites of mine, this is a good thing.

On its own merits, the song is well written, the vocal
doubling sounds very cool to me, and the guitar lines
intertwine perfectlly...Love the intro riff.... Great melody...

Sad but true &mdash 09/13/05 - 07:50:34 AM
About song, it is just great!

Guitar and voice match perfectly.

I like the political theme, it just fit perfect at any time, even
15 years later. It is sad to know that.

I like it!!

Fresh And Clean &mdash 09/13/05 - 02:57:22 PM
With fetching vocal and acoustic work, the manner of the
piece becomes the message. The positve affirmation of the
melody truly invites the one addressed by the lyric to find
center and embrace that "danger" present in the "lonely" and
[sic] fearful night.

A fine lyric brilliantly delivered, shunning the cynicism
available. Reminding me in part of Dylan's -To Ramona-.

Nicely done.

Symbolism? &mdash 09/13/05 - 09:51:51 PM
I was reading the lyrics, and it almost sounded like you were
singing about the evil of drugs (Don't try to use and don't try
to share) . Then i read your explanation of the song's
message, that you were referring to politicians.
Well, I was close. Ha-ha!

Anyway, awesome composition. Quite a perky tune to deliver
such a profound message! Perfect guitar-playing as always,
and you have a great voice with good control!

good performance &mdash 09/14/05 - 08:09:55 AM
Your guitar playing is excellent on this tune, providing a
very good harmonic and rhythmic accompaniment to the
vocals. There is a lot of energy and vitality.

Your voice has an interesting quality, almost nasal on this
tune, which is perfect for these provocative, subtly cynical
lyrics.

Very well done!

Time always will tell... &mdash 09/17/05 - 02:19:29 PM
Man you you have a strinkly musical and 'reed instrument
like' voice. I know that this might hit you as an odd thing
to hear, esecially since I don't and can't associate it w/ the
particular closest match. This comment stems mostly,
from the thought that it sounds less like you're singing,
and more like you are actually blowing the words through
a reed or reed type of instrument. This is a compliment,
by the way, and I am wanting you to know how unique the
sound is, and how pleasant your 'playing' is to hear.

Nicer guitar accompaniment too. You do play this
instrument well also.

This is a nice piece, and it's time of orgin... well, that's
just confirmation of it's timelessness.

So good. You add a very cool new thing to your voice and style in this
one that I really like, whatever it is. You are really good. I am stunned by
how professional this sounds and how cool. I hope you put out a CD
someday (unless these are already from one?)
