Description:
A song about struggling to let go...
Lyrics:
We had a love to share
We even had a solemn vow
And time was what we had
but even that is gone now
Where's the sun that shines
Night has come and fallen
Where's the light that glows
My life's about to darken...
And i know that time's not gold
What should i do when you say
you wanna have more
than love to hold and feel and see
I'll try to do what i can do
so we can still be...
So you say this story's been told
How should I feel when you say
this love's getting old
and you want to leave and go and be free
I'll try my best to be strong
so we both can be...

Thanks. It's not my usual style either. It's a little bit more in the rock ballad
style rather than the usual pop. It's good to try something new once in a
while :-)

I look at your awesome catalogue of songs and I am both humbled and blown
away. For an extremely talented singer-songwriter like you to praise my
song is a major upliftment and encouragement for me. Thanks a lot, man!

emotion and soul. Strong, heart-felt vocals add a lot of
energy to this song. Good vocal range and harmony work.
Nice raw acoustic guitar strikes in syncopation punctuate the
emotion and attitude very well, giving this generally mellow
tune some power.
The drum track was rather distracting, I guess because it
seems inferior to all the other elements of the performance.
Nice work! [ Reply to This ]

Man, thanks so much for the very positive review. Made me feel all the time I
spent this weekend finishing this song was worth it! :-)
Only a true musician can really discern the minor flaws in this song, and I agree
with you totally about your comment regarding the distracting drumbeats. I
didn't even think of it until you pointed it out.

real nice &mdash 09/14/05 - 08:22:47 AM
Great singing power. You've got a real nice voice. It's a
good and interesting song, kind of a genre bender. I think
you could improve this with some work on the percussion.
As it is now it's just the same percussion loop the whole way
through with no build, fills, or variation. I know working out
the percussion can sometimes be tedious but it's really worth
it in the end when you take the time. [ Reply to This ]
This is good stuff and well put together. &mdash 09/29/05 - 11:04:57 AM
This is good stuff and well put together.
Your use of backing vocals is brilliant .
I prefer this one to the war one , but thats only a personal preference.
I think the opening is very unique and works .

Hey, Cormac. Thanks, man. I'm a fan of your awesome music, and to be on the
receiving end of a great musician's praise makes me feel soooo good!
