katchoolik-heavy place in the cosmic stream... Really
great constructions...

Love that "chase the tail" guitar break...

Peter, this is another exceptional vocal... the lyrics aren't
"pop regular", it's another one where you step out into
that Bowie/Gabriel place wherein you're inhabiting a
character, giving voice and being to a person, as much as
just "singing a song"... The lyrics are complex but simple,
like life...

This is quite something, gentlemen...

Yup... P&K are a dangerous mix. Peter, the lyrics are very
well written/thought-out and touching, and beautifully sung,
reminds me a bit of stuff off Pink Floyd's Division Bell album.
Johnny's guitar/synth background is also driving, ingenious
and engaging twists and turns, complex, but always
resolving delicously. Wow, great song is about all I can think
to type now :-) Oh, and 9s across the board.

magnificent on all fronts...
Peter, your lyrics are really something. And to top them
off you've got this unique voice and style of singing that
is so winning. Impressive.
Johnny, I especially liked that solo. Your guitar playing
is this cool blend or so technically correct and yet so
flowing witht he feel of spontaneiaty. You and Peter make

A suggestion
Great production, guys... you have a nice thoughtful
song, easy to listen to. I especially liked the melody
in the chorus "All these years...", etc. My only
criticism is concerning the solo section. When the
solo breaks, it is wonderful... a nice little surprise
and change of pace to the rest of the song.
However, when it kicked up yet another notch and
got extra noodly, I felt it started going off in a
distracting tangent. When the song finally returned,
it was like "oh yeah...so that's how the song started
out". If that last part of the solo section was
trimmed down, I think the overall mood of the song
would be stronger. Just my two cents!

Excellent
If I were to describe my adoration of this song in one word -
I wouldn't answer. No one word can sum it up correctly.
I particularly loved the slightly faster guitar break about half
way through the song - excellent guitar work.
The only thing I didn't like was the drum sound - the snare
in particular. Sounded too fake for my taste. But that's a
minor issue.
Great vocals as usual, Peter.

great concept and production
It always amazes and mystifies me how music and lyrics
and vocals come together. (Sort of like how artists manage
to paint pictures!....it's beyond me, but it HAPPENS.)
Anyway, everything comes together superbly in this
collaborative effort.

The music here is very interesting; the choice of sounds
and the way they're combined is excellent. I especially like
the guitar work on the latter part of this track.

There is a lot going on here, but it all is well-balanced
between the elements.

The string sound is a very nice touch throughout, used
judiciously and sparingly. I'd like to hear just a shade
more reverb on it though.

The vocals have a unique quality; you've got a very good
voice for this style. The lyrics match the musical content
well.

Excellent job all the way around!

	cool ballads great lyrics and singing...your voice sounds a bit "strained" (in a good way though), but i think that adds to the sincerity and longing in the song Katchoolik: wonderful guitar solo (maybe just a tad too long?)...you always know how to pluck your strings to express more than words could ever convey

It actually took me nearly two years to even notice you made this totally dickhead comment. I don't remember the controversy in any detail other than I do recall there was a period way back where you kept acting like a total jerk in the forums.

So, I commented on one of your songs and you responded rudely because I took two months to comment on a song of yours after you had commented on one of mine. Seriously pathetic. I don't comment on people's music as some sort of barter system circle jerk and I don't expect others to either. I comment because I am genuinely moved to do so and have something to say, regardles of their commenting on mine. It was more than likely that your extremely hostile attitude in the forums put me off to even listening to your stuff for a while before I decided to just look past that.

So, fuck you very much for the attitude. I'm sure you're probably actually a decent guy in person but your online communication skills have left nothing much more than a vague memory of a guy who was always being a dick to everyone in the forums here, accusing innocent people of conspiring against and repressing you somehow.

Fucking tell ME te get off my high horse? Right.

Pardon the delay in ranting a response to your comment, a rant you will certainly never read after so much time. It's more for those who might come across this and want a good flame return for shits and giggles.

I Had A Love
I recall, now. What an unexpected flood of memory.

Musicians-san, the strength of the restraint shown here is
formidable and Zen-like. The complaint is no complaint -
it is a space created and inhabited by "the ballad". Crisp,
clean, spare yet full.

Even in restraint, the Keys and Tele truly soar. The BU
Vocals are lovely and the hand-struck tom at the end of
the break is so human-sized. Did I mention the vocasl?

I guess you get my point.

Movie soundtrack
This song is that great. The rest of the world needs to hear it.

I could see the middle instrumentla break being edited, if only to tighten up this tune into a radio song. Personallly, I loved the break to showcase the playing and build some different textures.

Unique voice made even better because you sound different from most everyone in Pop and Rock today. You sound a bit like Bowie when he didn't suck.
