Description
The first medieval song I composed - Now is the Time of Winter tells of the onset of winter. Unfortunately, I have no way of putting a backing track on, so you just have to make do with me singing! ;)

Lyrics
Now is the time of winter,
When ice and snow abound,
And the wind howls cold through the empty trees,
And the frost blankets the ground.
So light a fire ye merry men,
Light and keep it bright
Burning through the darkest hours,
Shining in the night.
The ground outside is growing hard,
Rivers have turned to stone
A single leaf still clings to a branch
Shivering all alone.
The lakes have turned to icy glass,
The sky to a frosty grey,
The wind howls with the wild wolves,
And the night has conquered day.
When ice and snow abound,
And the wind howls cold through the empty trees,
And the frost blankets the ground.
So light a fire ye merry men,
Light and keep it bright
Burning through the darkest hours,
Shining in the night.
The ground outside is growing hard,
Rivers have turned to stone
A single leaf still clings to a branch
Shivering all alone.
The lakes have turned to icy glass,
The sky to a frosty grey,
The wind howls with the wild wolves,
And the night has conquered day.

Very promising! Do you mind if I add some instruments?
