Description
Well.....ummm.....I didn't plan on posting a third version of this song, but after nice encouragement from the Kind Strangers, here it is. I tried to just leave the song alone a few times, but ultimately, I had to get this version out of my head. It was inspired by a Masters At Work remix of "Canned Heat" by Jamiroquai. In the end, it sounds nothing like that remix (which is a bit disappointing to me), but I still had to finish it, for better or worse. This version is longer. While it is a bit "stripped" at first, it does become a dance version before it ends. I added some parts, additional vocals, etc. Check it out.

Such a great title
I love your alt pop voice. It works well with a minimalist
backing. I'd edit out the intro, tho, and start with your
singing right away, even tho the long intro fits with the
waiting concept. I heard a big build in my ears, something to
give the whole thing a punchline, but it never came; and
thought the variations from the first half to the second half
could have been more harmonically unique, but my ears are
always looking for variations (a personal bias). Some very
nice vocal wash moments at the end. (I really dig Jamiroquai,
too, by the way.) Your voice resembles the lead singer from
Kind Strangers. Are you associated with them?

Totally dig'n dis groove...
Nice change in your music here. Enjoying the focus on the
subtleties as well. I agree with Tobin on the Intro. Although I
appreciate it, I would like to hear it start right from the
vocals as well.

Excellent song LW.

nice beat
I like your voice and would like to hear more of it without pops, gets a little heavy on the percusion around the mid. part, then it smooths out nicely and refreshing, with some nice beats and vocals, love hearing the lyrics and the faded end.
Thank You for sharing and I wanna listen to more of your songs as I have time. :)

While Garageband enables and challenges me to come up with competent tracks, I never forget how far from a real musician I really am. It would be cool to become the world's most successful "Loop Artist." I believe that it's quite amazing when I can... [see more]
