Description:
Recorded 2 years ago with two female background singers direct to disc/one track. Just added one background track to veil the deeper tones which were horrible and still are!
Hope you`ll enjoy!

Lyrics:
The light is here to stay
And suddenly we see our tomorrow
Until the end of days
The love we feel
No need to borrow

We got it all for free
Just think about it

I`ve promised myself
That all the love she gave
I would swallow
But after all we felt
A lovely daze
We climb the hollow

We fall on evil days
And then it`s all over

Come together one more time
Get your kicks for free
Separate the darkness now
Just for me

(First verse, first bridge)

Come together one more time
Get your kicks for free
Separate the darkness now
Just for me
Be a lover
Be a friend
Be yourself right now
Let us fight together now
`Til the end

Sweet Baby I.G.M. &mdash 09/19/05 - 01:43:52 PM
Certainly has that light, jazzy-folk James Taylor sound.

Very pleasant with nice vocals and harmonies.

Excellent live performance. 8)

Pretty &mdash 09/19/05 - 02:37:17 PM
Very pretty, real and livey! I like a lot to hear things coming
out of drawer like this. Like also to hear something so real as
this. No cosmetics, just talanted people! Very talanted!
Thanks for sharing!

These singers, where did they go? Are you still singing
toghether?

Thanx a lot Cori,
the singers are still singers :) and from time to time we make some music. I`ll tell them that you like their singing.

"all the loves she gave i would swallow"

this is a brilliant line. ;)

still wish i could play the guitar like you.

this kind of reminds me of joni mitchell, whom i adore.

Great Chops &mdash 09/19/05 - 03:28:30 PM
Very JT, but with an edge.

Well worked harmonies woven around the storyline.

Real fine performance.

lovely harmonies &mdash 09/19/05 - 03:53:59 PM
The harmonies and blending of the vocals is excellent,
and combine very nicely with the guitar. This song has a
simple, open and straightforward sound.

The chord progression and style is indeed reminiscent of
James Taylor; the timbre of your voice is like his.

My only suggestion would be to add a little bit of reverb
to the track to add more warmth and sparkle.

Very nice performance as is, though.

awesome &mdash 09/19/05 - 04:04:04 PM
...very peaceful song, makes me feel great, love the guitar,
it sparkles and the harmonies are priceless, no one side
dominating, I think the voices blend splendidly. Don't
agree on the reverb, see the suggestion, but I believe the
song connects better to the ear as is.

Very &mdash 09/19/05 - 04:26:59 PM
Very nice everything: lyrics, vocals, guitar playing. Well
blended. Alive and fresh. man, this is my cup of tea. James
Taylor-esque, for sure.

Like Richard mentioned &mdash 09/19/05 - 04:54:51 PM
It does certainly have that James Taylor feel. Even the voice,
gad it almost sounds like he is singing. Spooky :) Are you
sure he is not there in that recording ? :)

Sounds terriific!

Another one! &mdash 09/19/05 - 05:03:38 PM
Another very nice piece of work Ingo. I've been a big JT fan since Fire and Rain first came out, and this would certainly fit neatly into his repertoire as is. Lyrically and melodically very JT. For a live piece it's really hard to fault. Thanks for putting this up.

Sweet track! I don't hear anything horrible in this song! Really nice! I love your voice!

Shower the MacJams with love... &mdash 09/19/05 - 06:03:17 PM
It certainly makes its bow to JT, but it's a nice song all on
its own...

Really nice singing on your part. Those doublings that
come in on the low notes are very cool sounding. Guitar
work is perfect.

The harmony vocals are also spot on... One track? This
sounds really full and complete for that...

I'm glad I spotted your "advertisement" on the Chat....
THis is great...

it to life.

Could have fooled me &mdash 09/19/05 - 10:57:38 PM
Looking at your profile page I see you're German (and
confirmed it in chat) but you sound like you were raised here
in the midwest. I doubt I could do as well with German
(though I took a "singer's diction" class in college for that
purpose). Nice sweet tune. Might feel like I hear a bit much
of the room here, nature of live one mic recording though.

James and Carly &mdash 09/20/05 - 06:30:41 AM
Love the James Taylor feel, the balanced recording (for a live
take). Where were you playing? Excellent guitar, so tight
and clean, such metronome precision. The only thing is that
the parallel singing isn't as tight as my ears want, which
gives the track a non-professional feel. Very sweet lyrics,
altho they are kind of generic. Very solid track.

This is great for only one track. Nice vocals and harmonies.
I like the lyrics as well. Thanks for dusting this one off.

Love that guitar. Excellent voices. You all really have some
talent. And to hear something so natural so "analog" :) its
wonderful!

Flowing construction... &mdash 10/09/05 - 02:41:13 AM
Your voice has a very James Taylor feel... Nice. The harmonies sound
great, but it might be nice to hear parts of the tune without them. It
might make more emotional impact.

Love your stuff &mdash 03/29/06 - 12:08:13 PM
I don't mean this as a critic... but I'd love to get my hand on this... I'm
not sure it's not better in this raw form though

good work
