Description:
I got to do this almost exclusively on my PowerBook. Only a few parts and the mastering were done at home on the G5.

I consider myself blessed to have a day (nights sometimes) job where no one's around to bother me. I can basically take my entire studio with me and record while on the job. Helps burn up those boring hours real quick!

Lyrics:
Tied In Knots
Dave Placko © 2001

Girl, my mind is in a state of disarray
When our paths cross I can't even tell the time of day
Feels like I've been running but I don't even know where to
If you ever say hello, I ain't gonna know what to do

Girl, you send me. You put me in a state of shock
Yes, I'm captured. You got me all tied up in knots

Since the first time that I saw you my vision's been a little bit hazy
And then, the first time that I heard your name it made me go a little, a little bit crazy
And I'm hoping I don't loose my mind, but I think I already did
They say that love is blind. Hey, my brakes are locked and I can't stop the skid

Girl, you send me. You put me in a state of shock
Yes, I'm captured. You got me all tied up in knots

Now, I got to get myself together but I got no idea what to do
My head's been as light as a feather I'm so infatuated with you
And I don't know if I'll ever be done with all of this ado

Girl, you send me. You put me in a state of shock
Yes, I'm captured. You got me all tied up in knots

Hey, cool words!

Like how the group of instruments work so nicely together to
form a nice tight soft rock unit.

Again, lyrics are very special here and take the for-front
where it should be. Like the harmony!

Thanks. Yeah, the lyrics were inspiring to me as well. The girl I wrote them for
didn't seem to think so though. Boo hoo! :)

I enjoyed listening to this tune. A catchy melody, well sung
and played. The style reminds me of a 70's Steve Stills vibe.
Nice job . .

Thanks. I am definately a huge Stills fan. I've had comments that my stuff
reminds people of his music before. Cool!

I had the most fun doing the bass on this. Didn't wanna quit recording it. It's
my favorite part of the song.

This is great food for my new Sennheiser headphones. ;-) I like the sound of the guitar. Also you have a very remarkable voice. I am amazed by this professionally sounding overall production.

Thanks for listening. Normaly the harmonies are sung by our bass player. She
wasn't available so I had to do it. I guess my deeper man voice sounds ok doing
the harmonies. I can live with it. :)

Nicely performed &mdash 09/22/05 - 11:15:40 PM
The one odd thing about the piece to me is that the title and much f the
lyrical content is about tension - something I don't get from the feel of
the song. In fact its a very nice relaxing piece. If that dis-junction is what
you're going for, well done, in some ways it makes me think about it even
more. Think I might like hearing more wetness on the vox. Tight, nice
hooky feel, interesting intro and solos. Fun stuff.
