Description:
This song has been in the wings for a couple months. I kept coming back to it doing little tweaks and finally decided to upload it. It a little mellower then some of my other stuff. I posted a previous version of this song and based on the first two comments from Katchoolik and Einarus. I went back and redid the drums. I think they provided some good feedback and now I believe the song is much better as a result so I hope you enjoy.

Thanks, can't sing to save my life, just play guitar. And whether that would
save my life either is anyones guess. Thanks for your input.-JAC [ Reply to This ]
Killer lead &mdash 09/22/05 - 12:39:40 PM
Yes, the drums and bass are much improved, I think. Love that guitar playing; parts of it kept bringing me back to Jeff Beck's Wired. Great playing! [ Reply to This ]

Thanks, David. The new drums changed the feel of the song a bit but I don't
mind it. It's a little more upbeat now then mellow. Anytime my playing
reminds someone of Jeff Beck, it does get much better for me. Thanks again
and I still have "Dragon Fly" flying around in my head.-JAC [ Reply to This ]
Nice &mdash 09/22/05 - 12:53:47 PM
I dig the sparcity of this piece. Lots of room for the strat to move around. The pizz strings seem just a bit out of quantization. I listened through. Nice work. [ Reply to This ]

Very clean & strong... &mdash 09/23/05 - 10:49:29 AM
Much like the photo, this piece is crisp, nice drums, everything seems
at the right level. My only thought might be to bring the bass up a
little in the rhythm guitar part, or drop it down an octave? This sounds
a little treble-ish overall. Overall, a very nicely written and excellently
performed piece!

Drakonis, thanks for your comments. I know what you're saying about the
bass and rhythm gituar. I have worked both of the tracks to try and get a
good balance, an octave lower on the one is something I had'nt thought of.
As for the photograph, it's the wonderful light you find in Mexico. Thanks
again and I'm always tweaking this piece so I'll try some of the things you
mentioned.-JAC [ Reply to This ]

Hey J, oh yeah, good idea to re-do the drum parts,
I think you did a great job with it. Like your Beck influenced
playing and the sound is very good in this song.
The song photo is absolutely great and fits so well for this song.
I think the song is much better with your new drum part,
nice job.

I just have to say right off that the guitar part in this really blew me away - it's well executed and fits expertly into the piece as a whole. I can imagine someone riding on the highway with the windows rolled down and jamming hard to this song. Nice. [ Reply to This ]

woah! a totally solid rock tune! that guitar actually burned my ear lobe!
seriously. i'll be sending you a medical bill in the mail! jeeez!
i don't prefer to compare sounds to other bands or artists, but i
couldn't help thinking of very old Pink Floyd and their album Obscured
by Clouds, where D.Gilmore rips it up in a similar fashion.
this is hardly that, and that is hardly this, but man, the thing they both
share is a conscious attitude and expression with a guitar. it's real, and
it's really good!
nice job on this one! [ Reply to This ]

Boris tb, thanks for taking the time to write very insightful comments. I don't
think we can help but compare music to others we've heard. That is really
what Art does, it tweaks an experience we've had and brings a memory back
to us which is then how we connect to it. Thanks again.-JAC [ Reply to This ]
The Right Stuff &mdash 10/16/05 - 12:38:44 PM
Crisp, tight playing and sharp production. Drums and bass sound great,
as does the guitar, of course. Others have mentioned other artists but I
can't help but think you're channeling Joe Walsh on this, but then again,
maybe you're just mirroring that wicked chakeres dude. Downloading,
now. [ Reply to This ]
