Really needs more than one loop Far too much repetition here. Yes the sitar sample is cool, but you need more for it to really be able to be a major part of a song. I really don't think the beat is actually arabic, but its not a bad try. If you really want to get into the eastern sounds, I've recently done a lot of research on Indian music and I think you might find these links very useful: http://chandrakantha.com/ Quite a comprehensive site on Indian music and includes useful resources such as information on the Tal system (rhythm) and many compositions for the Tabla http://www.petelockett.com/ This is a drummer that has a huge interest in non-western drumming and has many free tutorials on how to play various non-western drums. You might be particulary interested in his techniques on how to play these non-western rhythms on the drum kit.
