Description:
This is not one of my best compositions, but it is still an interesting experiment. This piece was entirely written using the GM Midi Program - 01 (Acoustic Grand Piano). The concept of the piece was to experiment with all the possible textures avaliable using only the one sound.

The last two minutes of the piece would have to be my favourite as it was the section that was both planned best and contains some of the best textures of the whole piece. Although its not the greatest piece I've done, I certainly think its worth a listen for anyone thats tried writing music with midi.

What an interesting and entertaining soundscape. Love your perspective....This piece has kind of a heavy, sad feel to me. I could see this being developed further, perhaps into something with a beat after the initial first 2 min. (not dance beat but something fitting) and serving as a sountrack for a movie like HEAT.

I like that you created all the sounds w/one general midi instrument. I
can hear guitar, orchestral strings, and cool effects (at one point it
sounds like playing a piano inside w/drum stick, then cello, bass, the
high pitch rain sound. Tranquil, contemplative, meditative even. I
enjoy your musical compositions. Peace.

like a kid &mdash 05/04/06 - 09:12:33 PM
I remember playing piano for the first time. Was at my grandfather's
"old folk's" home. I was just playing around, making noise I enjoyed. I
got an audience. I kept going. All was fun and games until some lady
comes up and scowled and got made and shut me down.

I remember a woman yelling at her telling her it was fun watching
someone have fun.

I got this feeling from piece. I like imagining you are having fun. I know
I would be. It's nothing anyone is going to call high art, but so what.
Was entertaining and that's all I ask.

Nice cut.
