Panning, spinning, delicate, floating, fluttering, transients, warm but
distant, John McLaughlin and Paco De Lucia, searching, exploring, spiral
staircase, pastoral.
The ideas in here could probably be expanded on and developed into
several different, more structured songs. But the overall mood of this one
is remarkably sustained throughout. The production makes the player
appear slightly distant in the stereo space, but it's as though one is
surreptitiously listening in to someone warming up on stage before the
recital/concert.

So glad you could hear McLaughlin/De Lucia in this one, because that was what I
was trying to go for.

Not that I think I could ever be as good as either of them..

Thanx, Mungo.

lots of ideas but lazy as hell and thus bloody useless as a musician... Thank goodness I now and then get a little help from my four fine feathered friends, The Flying Feathers. For some older stuff, see our secondary account: mountainHigh _... [see more]
