Description:
Ok now this one is my favourite song that I've ever written. I'm playing the flute, piano, and singing. All the other twinkly stuff in the background was recorded with my MIDI keyboard. I was inspired by a Backstreet Boys song and you can hear a part with the flute that sounds like one of their first songs. I can't remember the title... "I'd do anything for you, anything you ask me to..." Try and listen for it. It's near the end. Also I guess you could say my new relationship is going amazing. Enjoy*~

You're showing a lot of talent in this one! Love the layers - strings, bass, percussion, etc... Although of course I'd like to replace the midi bass with a real one, but I'm like that. Vocals were fantastic, love the harmonies. Looking forward to hearing more!

I'm really not impressed with the comments given on this song. I posted a picture of my boyfriend which meant a lot to me and thought I had written a song that I believe to be my best work ever and I'm just getting comments that have nothing to do with it. I'm removing the picture because it's distracting you from what I'd rather receive comments on.

You're supposed to write and perform the songs when you are
experiencing heartache, not during the headiness of being in love. ;)
Strong, very good singing, good production.
On my headphones, the bass seemed a little strong in the mix when it
was there - I wouldn't mind it hearing it drop back in the mix a bit, but at
the same time, hear it play throughout the entire song.

I am new to MacJams as of yesterday and this is my favorite song so far, after having sampled several dozen.
I want the author of the song to know that that.
However, I decided to reply to this post because I disagree that a person is "supposed" to write songs while in heartache or disapointment and not while in the clouds of love. Having been both places, I think that both emotions produce different kinds of sounds, but one should not put any boundaries on what a person should be going through. She sounds very happy in this song and that makes me happy too.
Regarding the song.... I really liked the way when you sang "Everything To Me" that you slightly changed the vowl sound of the E in the word Me to more like that of an A. I thought that you added way more instruments that I could possibly do... but it was not overdone. Very talented.

too! Great promise. Love your harmony and vocal arrangements. The
challenge for you will be to go beyond your influences and find an
identity for yourself which will come with time. Go back and study the
history of music. Study the great ones of the past, not just the popular
ones of the present. Sadly popularity does not always equal greatness
and you have the potential to be great not just merely good!

Wow, thanks for the comment. I really just write music for pure enjoyment. I don't ever think of it as something that could turn into anything. Learning to record and different musical styles is a great past time. But lately I've been wondering, maybe with proper training I might be able to do something more with my music than just this site. Thank-You for believing in me.

For throughout the entire listening of this tune. Usually, the chills, they
just come at the onset of a tune, but it almost scrared me how long
they hungout to pledge their alegence to this great tune. And, they got
bigger and bigger as the tune progressed.
What a wonderful voice you have and it's being showcased by very
beautiful piece here.
I don't make an effort to steer away from pop, it's just not a direction
that I know how to steer towards. You may changed this for me
though.
This tune had all of the workings of a very solid piece that for better or
worse, is radio ready and I can't wait to hear how and where it ends up
in my shuffle of tunes....

Hey, this song is ready to hit the radio Monday January 9th at 8pm. You can listen in @ HOT103 I took your advice and lowered the bass. I agree it was too loud. I think the track sounds a lot more smooth and it's acquired quite a few fans in the last little while. I'm getting really excited! Even if I don't make Regional Winner I still have won a chance to have my music on the most popular radio station in my province. So yay! Listen up! And tell the world! Anyone with the internet can vote :)
