Concierto de Aranjuez (adagio)

Description
The guitar that I am using is Betsy the steel stringed guitar.

This is the 2nd movment to the Concierto de Aranjuez.

Daphna is composing the orchestration of the original score I gave her for the backround orchestration. She is such a dffierent composer I can hardly wait :)

Again this piece, the "Adagio" section is "without" orchestration. Just Betsy!

This piece was written by Juan Rodrigo, he was blind since a very early age. And is considered one of the greatest composers of the classical guitar and orchestration. Maybe the greatest :) He has passed away. I would like to dedicate this performance him.

Wonderful performance
Thanks, I am not sure if there is a reording of this concerto with steel strings on
an acoustic but I sure enjoy playing on Betsy so what the heck it is fun.

What a pleasure
Thanks futz, I guess I'm addicted to uploaded and givien away my tunes.

I hope that saying; It is better to give than receive is true.

But I think in this world I have been really given so much so I think I need the
karma to give that I hope are of value to some of you in MJ land:)

this is beautiful,
i heard the whole concerto played on a harp once - that was yummy too. you make it sound just as good. on a purely practical note - you could probably hammer nails with the ends of your fingers - a useful sideline! thank you - i'm taking this one away with me xxxx

ps - the bear says hi!

this is beautiful,
Say hi to the bear for me! Maybe I heard the same harpist. Ya, I agree the harp
is a fine instrument for sure on that piece.

Thanks Caroline

played!

timelessly emotional piece
played with the soft and powerful emotion that you and Betsy are so
good at. I've heard this piece many times, and can imagine the
backing orchestration... and although it wasn't there, it didn't detract, I
still loved your playing of the main part.

timelessly emotional piece
Thanks Drak

It is always a challenge to play this piece. But I love it to death cause it is in my
opinion one of best written pieces for guitar.

Slow down!
I need to go out and get more CD-R's for my tiler collection! Time to
order a bigger hard drive!

You always have lovely tone and a lovely sound/soundscape. This is
"drier" than the last one I heard...but the guitar supplies a lot of tone
and resonance...

There's a lot of "wood" in this recording...

Nicely done... AGAIN....Bill...

My favorite concerto
This is my favorite concerto (for any instrument), and it's great to hear a home recorded version. I'm not sure that I prefer the steel string sound to the nylon classical sound, but it still sounds great. It's a very strong sound, and that might work well with background parts...
