Description:
I was entering a dry period and frustrated with the lack of immediacy in my lyrics. I started thinking about how inadequate words were in communicating experience, but they're all we have. And this song came out.
Lyrics:
A look. A casual glance. A stare.
A blouse tossed over a chair,
and a kiss.
There are no words for this,
no words for this.
There's something leaves the air
when you're no longer there
that I miss.
There are no words for this,
no words for this.
And I can't say what this is all about.
I write a line.
I cross it out.
Oh, there's nothing I can say,
but I will say it anyway.
What foolishness.
There are no words for this,
no words for this.
No words,
words for this.
Oh, there's nothing I can say,
but I will say it anyway.
What foolishness.
There are no words for this,
no words for this.
No words,
words for this,
words for this,
words for this,
words for this.

Like your guitar playing a lot! Very nice composition! James Taylor comes to mind! Gets my vote!

This is really quite a wonderful love song. Excellent guitar playing and
very well done vocal. Hope I don't disappoint by only having positive
things to say about this wonderful song. :o) [ Reply to This ]

A clean and light piece. Crisp production. I had to do some work right after I listened to it and found I had the song in my head the whole time. There is an almost conversational tone to your singing, which fits the song, but I'd also love to hear what it sounds like when you put a little more force and diaphragm behind it. It was really good when the harmony came it (I'm a sucker for harmony). [ Reply to This ]

What Great Comp Guitar. Great Comp Guitar. Guitar, Great Comp.
Smooth Vocal with a hint of resolve at finding No Words are the Words.
True to the Bohemian/Beat existential aesthetic.
First run at GB, eh? Looks like a future coming to town.
