Description

I had done quite a while ago and it is uploaded to macjams. This though is a collaboration with Tadashi Togawa. I am blown away with is unique way of composing. When I heard his 42 samurais I was taken back the way he uses his sounds especially the oriental approach to percussion. This is a real treat for me to have Tad on this piece!

Here is what Tad describes about what he added;
I added flute, synthesizer, drums, and percussion instrument.
Flute is an impression of Japan.
Synthesizer is an impression in the future.
Drums is a collision of the culture.
Percussion instrument is distortion of time.

	Swept away I really like the collision of this calm guitar soundbed with the fast, almost crazy percussion. The way the drums stopped suddenly really worked. For me, anyways... Very interesting combo
I like this new version for the most part. It's an interesting and unusual
combination. I think it works very well, at least up until about 03:40 into
it when the percussion just sort of goes haywire. That bizzare fit of
drumming doesn't seem appropriate to the music. But then things go
back to being very cool through to the end. So other than that drumming
bit I really like what Tadashi added to this piece of yours.

	Great combination of talents here. Excellent musicianship all around. I really dig Tadashi's additions; the flute and synths in particular. Unexpected collaboration!
Two of my favourite MJers, from opposite ends of the musical
spectrum, together on one track - jiguma heaven! Great sounds from
you both - I totally love the drumming section - I've always wondered
what Bill would sound like with backup, but hadn't anticipated this sort
of backup! A very clever, surprising and rewarding mix of styles and
cultures - excellent!

Thanks tad, I sure had fun with this. Some of that stuff you do is so neat to my
ears and never even new that those neat percussion tricks ever existed. Let
alone the incredible new age sounds. Even down to the last drop. I hope people
can listen to that neat tune you do at the end. Man that is cool to my ears!
