Description
This is the first version of this song that I recorded. I later re-recorded it with mandolinquent on mandolin and posted that version. Thought I would upload this version also and see what people thought.

Lyrics
It was down in Louisiana
Beneath a haloed moon
Right beside the lonely banks
Of the Mississippi too
That I first realized that love hadn't come through
Now somewhere there is laughter of lovers feeling good
But I was down on my knees beneath the Live Oak trees wondering which way to go
when I felt my soul lift up and my feet began to move
So from Baton Rouge to New Orleans and Thibodeaux too
When you're feeling lonely, you ought to dance beneath a haloed moon
Beneath a haloed moon
Right beside the lonely banks
Of the Mississippi too
That I first realized that love hadn't come through
Now somewhere there is laughter of lovers feeling good
But I was down on my knees beneath the Live Oak trees wondering which way to go
when I felt my soul lift up and my feet began to move
So from Baton Rouge to New Orleans and Thibodeaux too
When you're feeling lonely, you ought to dance beneath a haloed moon

FEEL
Nice Job...really like the southern feel. Strings and vocals compliment
well each other. Thanks for sharing. I think this is one of your best.
