Great singing with just the right music to go along. &mdash 10/16/05 - 04:06:15 PM
This reminds me of a movie, but I can't pin it. This starts depressing, then
turns beautiful and sorrowful. I think this is some of your better singing,
and / or Mysti's music fits your voice very well. There is a mystical feeling
too it. The end is almost warm.

Thanks Ben - tis good to be appreciated :)

as for movies... perhaps you hear some of the Enya, McKennit, and Clannad
influence!

It's not possible &mdash 10/16/05 - 04:41:20 PM
to get more ethereal sounding. Nice, very bright and flowy.

haunting &mdash 10/16/05 - 04:55:23 PM
Am I hearing both you and Mysti on this or is it just you singing, CJ? It's a
lovely adaptation of Mysti's Winter's Breath. I like how the vocals shift
from sorrowful moments of dissonance to brilliant harmony. I hear
wonderful emotion and even moments of slight edginess that gives it a lot
of power.

Just me singing here, 4 tracks recorded one after the other over each other, no
thought as to what would come of it. glad you enjoy :D

The pitch-sure shifts from dissonance to harmony...the juxtaposition
of a sorrowful beauty with an edginess that avoids cliche...

Yeah, Peter's right, this has power, and the power it has in much in
keeping with the power of winter...

This is another piece for me where I'm being struck by watching/
listening to someone really finding the strength and the heart of their
own voice. It's very inspiring...

sliding up and down &mdash 10/17/05 - 08:25:30 AM
This is pretty cool! Aurally, I mean, definitely has that Winter's Breath thing going on but this is like two ice skaters on a pond skating in intersecting random figures. Very original and different music!

Very Pleasant &mdash 10/17/05 - 08:31:23 AM
This was the first thing I listened to today and what a pleasant way to
ease into the day. Now I'm so relaxed and meditative I don't want to
do much else today. You have a wonderful voice cj and I think you
have done an interesting interpretation of Mystified's piece. Nice
works.-JAC

You voicing on this is bleak and chilly...perfect!
You've done a nice job of keeping the icy feel of the track, but it is also
very much your own style.

It's been so cool (pun intended) to see what everyone is coming up with in
their additions to this track.
Thanks for adding to it, CJ :)
Wonderful!

Really interesting.. &mdash 10/17/05 - 03:09:46 PM
to compare this with Mysti's own version. There are similarities as you
both have that 'ambient vocal' style but they are also such different
takes. This has some elements which are calming and some moments
that have an almost disturbing intensity... very impressive

love the part &mdash 10/18/05 - 07:46:15 AM
where you really put your voice out there in the word: grieve... how the
trees grieve...nice power and contrast.
