Description:
Written in a couple of hours late on a saturday evening. I wanted to make a song in a freaky tempo, so I stumbled upon the little electric piano part that's in the beginning and built something onto that. Now it's a bit like Moby in 4/4 & 5/4 (9/4 for you math geeks).
So, this is my first attempt at this kind of music so all criticism is welcomed. If you feel the need to rip off my head - be my guest, but please, leave the face alone.

MAN SLAM!! &mdash 10/16/05 - 04:00:52 PM
Very Kewl like being in the jungle next to a waterfall with gorgeous babes swimming naked in the pond of retribution and Bizarre entertaining as usual! Could easily be porn music!

Nice Piano &mdash 10/16/05 - 04:10:36 PM
This is a great production. It also has just the right amount of fx to it.
Great job.

Take me away &mdash 10/16/05 - 04:13:45 PM
Nice ride, it sort of gently picks me up and takes me away. Nice detail
to in the background. Oh and thanks for putting me back down
gently.-JAC

Tropical &mdash 10/16/05 - 04:21:13 PM
Ah, just like all those long nights on Fiji. I would guess anyway. More good stuff Einar!

melodic vibe. Impressive production

Me like &mdash 10/16/05 - 05:30:28 PM
Very lush and medatative music. Very nice, not just for being done in a
couple of hours. It really is good. I really can't imagine what the low
marks in writing/content and production/performance are all about.

when I get a notice in the email about E &mdash 10/16/05 - 06:05:35 PM
's tunes ready to be heard I look forward to it.

You are truly one of the best composers here on this site as far as my ears
can tell. You are an expert in moving lots of people with your
compositions in the right way.

My head &mdash 10/16/05 - 06:18:25 PM

Thank you so much for the kind words. Your comments really mean a lot to me.
And thank you all for taking the time to listen to this little ditty!

Ooh Ein! &mdash 10/16/05 - 08:27:49 PM
I like it a lot. First it feels lighthearted, then gives you a wink and shows
another side.

Classy theme, nice mood ... short tune &mdash 10/16/05 - 11:27:08 PM
Think you are building a nice mood here. Feel this is a very classy theme
that can lead to more. Sounds like something that could be one part in a
bigger composition.

I feel it is so good that it is really worthwhile to keep working with.
Imagine more things happening ... imagine a section after this that breaks
loose and lifts to higher heat, but which still is a natural development
from this one, (and then I believe more sections could grow naturally from
there). You could build something really classy.

Nice work &mdash 10/17/05 - 11:38:48 AM
I think "porn music" is putting this piece down. I'd say this is movie music
any Herrmann or Zimmer would be proud of.

I thank you for the big words - Zimmer is one of my favourites, so I'm very
flattered.
Thank you all for taking the time to listen.

Adventurous! &mdash 10/17/05 - 03:29:23 PM
Ok..this is my kinda music, with a big sound and widescreen invitation. I
feel like I'm on safari, or navigating the waters of the Amazon (shooting
with cameras!) in a big IMAX theatre, surrounded by sound and dappled
sunlight and birds chattering overhead.

(If I ever get my head above water and caught up with things, I'd love to
try putting some vocals to this?)

Excellent. You are very talented, Ein-stein! :)
Thanks for this.

Fine piece!!! &mdash 10/17/05 - 05:07:00 PM
Einar, this is another great song - you have such a subtle touch with effects, and such a great (and subtle) sense of dynamics. This sets up Scandinavian images for me - mirror image reflections in a lonely lake (green fields, with snow capped distant mountains against summer blue sky). Images by association I guess. There is certainly some Air in there, but mainly Einarus. Fine piece!!!!

Good, mellow track &mdash 10/18/05 - 11:37:57 AM
This is a nice simple track that fits the New Age genre perfectly. The piano melodies and harmonies that come in about half-way through are gorgeous in terms of tone, chording, and the mood they set.

Good job!

really new &mdash 10/19/05 - 04:26:32 PM
agey, but that is the point I guess.....
It is a very bit like a Moby piece, but hey, it sounds good.
Sweet.

Ship is slow &mdash 10/19/05 - 05:21:19 PM
Love the tempo on this almost resting and then another deep note.
Piano is excellent and like the way the song travels into the strings.

upbeat, which beat? &mdash 10/21/05 - 11:13:08 AM
Very pretty, flowing, and the barely-noticeable odd time signature
gives it a rather intriguing lilting feel. Very good EQ, everything is
clear, like a cool bright Icelandic day. Nice writing, Faved!

Very well done &mdash 10/21/05 - 03:30:07 PM
We at the Noel Project wish to commend you on an outstanding work--created in a couple of hours.
The shifting tempo is a nice 'effect,' in addition to the other effects in the piece.

Excellent!

Mysterious sounds &mdash 10/22/05 - 01:58:38 PM
In the begginning it sounds like water which is very cool. Then you have the sound of nature and outdoors while it sounds like water is running. Also sounds rather sorrowful in my opinion. Very well composed with all the different sounds.

Nice and relaxing &mdash 12/04/05 - 08:27:43 AM
Once again some nice stuff has been done here. Just sorta chilled
music while keeping its originallity and interest with the unusual time
signature (4 5, 9/4). I particulary like both the ambient forrest
sounds (birds and the water) and the simple and smooth bass synth.
They both work really well with this song (and this style of music in
general). Nice work.

Beautiful Soundscape! &mdash 01/12/06 - 09:51:54 AM
I am just starting to browse through your music, but the longer I listen to it, the more I like it! This one in particular, although the rhythm (would that be a 9/8?) is quite interesting, you manage to create a soothing and harmonious piece. I love it when someone experiments with new rhythms, sounds and combinations and I definitely enjoyed this one!
