before with the first version. And with this expanded version
there is even more to like. I am so impressed with this song.
It is one of a minority of songs on this site that I think really is
deserving of a 10 in Originality/Creativity. With your vocal
harmonies you really provide a fun and enjoyable view of this
well-known Bibilical story. To be D/L-ed when I get home
later....

sermon from the Rector at our church, Mother Bennett, earlier in the year.

It's impossible to stay unaffected by your creations Tom! They pass all the
defences and goes staight to the heart. This time it also struck me that I
feel how your voice carries a very strong message in it self, apart from the
lyrics, hope you understand what I mean, (guess other listeners do).

The new gospel finale is just hot, just great! Hard not to rush up dancing
and singin along!

I'm sitting here a-shaking my head and smiling ear-to-ear.
The close harmonies, the 'color' of blended voices and instruments....the contagious *joy* with which you make music like this. Marvelous.

And listening to this after work before the drive home is just perfect. I'll be singing along with the chorus in my head the whole way!

to the beat is the only option. So catchy and great to listen to, with some very bold and moving singing. What a great revision. Nice harmonies, and I really like the way the song builds to it's beautiful conclusion. Really digging this Tom!

not to be intoxicated and captivated by this. I hadn't listened to the first
version in quite some time and don't remember it being this B-I-G BIG.
Outstanding production... and the great production pales in comparision
to the impassioned singing.

this way of introducing the story.
But I'm a bigger fan of god spell than I'm of gospel :D, I can't judge it
musically, therefore. Very good the close harmony vocal arrangement,
though.

framing will arrive in the afternoon post. I look forward to seeing you

Seriously though, it's such a joy to see you back here and I hope this is
the re-start of something beautiful. I have nothing helpful to say about
this wonderful song. My only comment was, "This song needs
tamborine," but as soon as I had the thought, the tamborine came in.

So, I'm usesless for anything but praise, which this song deserves piled
upon it. (Insert big pile of praise).

I just loved it, Tom. Thanks so much for posting your music. I look

So, the Fifth Blind Boy of Alabama went missing and turned up on MJ.
This was great first time around, but THIS?. It's so absurdly joyful, and
the line "Jesus spits..." has that really visceral, unrestrained, strange
American gospel wildness to it. It builds and builds and builds. I was
smiling like an idiot by the time it finished.

A person can tell this piece is definately inspired... Has some heart to it. My only concern is that in some areas the background vocals seem to lag the tempo a bit. I noticed in the beginning and near the end. In the middle, it was fine. I just thought I'd be upfront about that... but other wise, great song!!

Good ears, Aaron. There were some sync problems transferring the vocals
from the digital 8-track I used to record them to Garage Band. I eventually
used Final Cut Pro trying to get the timing back. For the most part it worked,
but there are a couple of spots where the background vocals do lag. Thanks

i love the balance of things--a couple of "minor" critiques... there's a
couple of moments (very few) where it feels like a rhythmic phasing
happens and then recovers. The driving choir is good but starts to
grate--i'm wondering if there can be a variation at some point to continue
to keep it interesting. i love it each time the number is kicked up a notch
(like toward the end with the horns). Outside of that, a nice strong tune!

like that in the beginning, your vocals... And then further away, from

it is to listen to this tune. I really like the vocals and the harmonies, along
with the background it is truly a fun piece. I am not much of a Gospel fan,
