Description:
Something like 6 weeks ago David sent me one of his guitar tracks and asked if I could add some drums to them. I was honored to, because I really like his playing. I asked Drew if he could provide some bass, which he was happy to do. I love working with talented musicians like these guys, and I'm pleased with the result!
Guitars - David Gomez Sanz (magullo)
Bass & Piccolo Bass - Andrew Koplan (Drew Kopr)
Drums & Production - David Thomas (perceptualvortex)

Another kickn' song &mdash 10/23/05 - 08:04:59 PM
Another kickn' song David drums are great as usual. Nice guitar and
bass. I like the use of the pan in the middle it gives a little varity to the
one guitar thread. Everytime I hear one of your songs it gets me
pumped to do another collab with you. Nice work.-JAC [ Reply to This ]
Ripping!! &mdash 10/23/05 - 08:09:53 PM
I enjoyed collaborating on this rocking tune. Very well done (even if I say so myself :-) [ Reply to This ]
solid rock &mdash 10/23/05 - 09:13:51 PM
This is very tight, crisp and well produced... the guitar hook is
strong and I love the way all the instruments sound. The
background melodies and synths/strings are a nice touch. What
is a piccolo bass, by the way? [ Reply to This ]
solid rock &mdash 10/24/05 - 09:05:24 AM
A piccolo bass has a short neck (compared to a standard electric bass) and guitar-range tonality and register. Mine has 4 strings and I tune it E/A/D/G, like the first four strings of a guitar (or last four, whichever it may be). On this tune, I am playing the contra-melody up and down the scale in the beginning, middle and end of the song and the two delayed scale parts on the piccolo bass. The standard, six-string guitar is playing the principle riffs and chords. <p>

not your standard &mdash 10/24/05 - 07:28:08 AM
guitar instrumental! I usually don't like guitar instrumentals but this
tune is far from standard, it's interesting, layered, with nice change
ups. The individual insturmental parts compliment each other really
well, Great playing and production. Catchy guitar riff. Love it! [ Reply to This ]

there... kind of gives it a playful edge. [ Reply to This ]
Excellent Collab &mdash 10/24/05 - 12:49:57 PM
It sounds like everyone has one mind on this one - excellent. Slight
quibble is that I was wishing the snare sound was a bit sharper - like it
was hitting me in the forehead. Maybe it's the caffeine. :)
I look forward to hearing more. [ Reply to This ]

That bass during the first solo crushes my chest. Drums are excellent,
Mr. Thomas, as usual. Sets my toes a tappin'. Magullo, I really like
your guitar playing.
Good cooperative work here! [ Reply to This ]

Got Game? &mdash 10/25/05 - 09:56:13 PM
You are all on top of your game. I am astounded at how perfect, tight, and
well produced this is. It is absolutely professional and amazing.
Really freat apex too and the emotion it provokes is a journey, and a sign
of a good song. I suppose I wish it were a little longer, but it doesn't need
to be.
Kudos yo.

That's a Keeper &mdash 10/26/05 - 07:25:52 AM
Very nice. Really tight tune with a great riff. Has a sort of Celtic feel to it,
which I just can't get enough of. I'd say even a little Tull-ish which I hope
you all take as a high compliment. Where it ended seemed like a good
place to take it down a notch and then build back up to an explosive
ending. Just a thought. Downloaded. [ Reply to This ]

Vox Populi &mdash 10/28/05 - 05:56:16 PM
Nicely done! I am a singer so I of course want to hear vocals on everything. This piece stands well as an instrumental though. I would also point out that one of the comments you got was right on in pointing out the effectiveness of the panning in the middle(?) of the song. It really gave an additional dynamic to the whole composition which already has alot of dynamic to go around. Hope to hear some more soon!

Awesome .. &mdash 11/17/06 - 03:59:48 PM
round of guinness, kuros.. ahem .. kudos for everyone! Catchy little celtic hammer on, wax off ..ahem .. hammer off. Only one thing it needs .. apart from singing ..ahem .. (not doing so well today) ..two things it needs:
fiddle! That guitar dueling with a fiddle = Komrade K!
Excellent - interesting variations, The Corrs need to get in on this ...
reminds me of something I haven't recorded or posted yet .. lol. [ Reply to This ]

Loved the guitar riff. Bass was really tight. Wish I could figure out how to get my bass that tight sounding. Nice job guys. Wish it was louder overall but, I guess that's why they make volume knobs, eh? :) Faved. [ Reply to This ]
