Description:
Resubmitted because all songs were lost when I dropped my website. Here is the original description for this song: I was messing around with the loops, and came up with this bubble gum/Barry Manilow tune. First time I'm playing harmonica live on a song. It's a beautiful day today in NY, and I came up with these wacky lyrics. Singing is not the best on this one, but it was fun! Get happy!
Lyrics:
Hey yeah, whoa...
See the butterfly flying in the sky, don't you wanna be him?
See the bird up there without a care, don't you want to be him?
All these creatures flying around, while you're stuck here stranded on the ground...What a life it must be.
Watch the bumblebees zipping through the trees, would you wanna be him?
See the lightning bug, oh, light up the night, don't you want to be him?
What a life it must be to take flight, any time day or night. Hey, it's alright.
So we wander around on the ground, I don't wanna be me.
I want to be up there without a care in the clear blue sky.
All these creatures flying around and all we can do is watch them from the ground....and what a life it must be, to take flight, in the clear blue sky....
I want to be up there with them...
Hardware:
Lee oskar harmonicas and an I-mac.
Software:
GB for the piano loops.

What did you use on this song &mdash 04/22/04 - 09:09:50 PM
I like the layout of the song. It's very catchy. I am new to
Garageband and would like to know what equipment you
are using. I hear piano, harmonica and vocals. Is this all
you are using?
Thanks!

Feel good &mdash 04/24/04 - 10:42:21 AM
Of all your songs I've listened to today, this one is the
most original one. Very seventies, with great feel-good
attitude and some power. What's missing is the band,
some kind of Chicago orchestration. But then again,
perhaps that would drive it even more towards seventies. [ Reply to This ]
Springtime &mdash 04/25/04 - 11:21:36 AM
Yeah, great fun. Do more harmonica! Really wonderful
vocal performance, I felt the joy, the smile, the springtiime
in your voice. Thanks for the skip in my step today... [ Reply to This ]
Actually... &mdash 06/01/04 - 01:35:38 AM
I was born in 1852, not 1952, hence the bad attitude. You
know, old people get kind of grumpy. Now, I haven't
actually listened to this, but I'm sure it's a 10! See what
you bunch of whiners started. Hoo-ha! [ Reply to This ]
great fun &mdash 07/06/04 - 02:58:05 PM
loved your song, but I agree with one of the other
comments, that it could use an injection of another
instrument(s) to really fill it out, perhaps towards the end.
Good vocals and arrangement nonetheless, and great
harmonica playing. [ Reply to This ]
