Description:
This is part one to an experimental 3 track project known as Ωmegå. I used Native instruments software including Photone (from electronic instuments), Kontakt 2 and Battery 2.
My influences for this track and the Ωmegå trilogy was the Icelandic group Sigur ròs, who create lush, melodic soundscapes with synths and strings and stunning vocal passages.
The other parts will uploaded as soon as possible
Peace Out.
P.s: my thanks to Katchoolik for previewing.

2011: A Space Odyssey &mdash 10/25/05 - 07:25:22 AM
Like Sigur rs, this is quite lush and melodic. It doesn't need
comparison to another group, however -- it has the "Obbster Sound" in
its own right, following nicely in the same vein as many of the powerful
soundscapes you've already created. Could be a soundtrack for a movie
about the exploration of Deimos and Phobos via astral projection. Or, a
soundbed representing a buoyant mass of hot, partially molten mantle
material rising to the base of the lithosphere. Nice noodling. I look
forward to the other parts in this series. I'd like to hear the voices
project forward just a tad more in places. [ Reply to This ]
A wonderfull trip &mdash 10/25/05 - 08:11:06 AM
to %u03A9land, wonderful sounds and drums give this
an eerie yet comforting atmosphere. Your voice sounds
wonderful and is so perfect for this piece.
This song is definitely one of my favorites by you,
Sigur is a great influence for you, keep those mellow
and fantastically flowing pieces coming, I need to relax
once in a while....

Cool, very serene or mellow. Sort of like passing out on opium. I think Rich said it best with the molten mantle description. Nice stuff; goes well with the space pic, too. [ Reply to This ]

Nice use of the wha, wouldn't expect that sound to be in there but you
pulled it off nicely.

Like this one, shades of Eno, good production, check out some
Moebius and Rodelius and Cluster, I think you maight be able to draw
some inspiration from them. [ Reply to This ]
