Description:
Came to me one night a few years ago when I couldn't sleep
Lyrics:
I was there on the beach front
Wind blowing through my hair
Saw the beautiful sunset
recalled when you were there
I feel down on my knees in the sand
And a tear rolled down my face
I hold on to the memory
As I turn and walk away...I'm singin'
Chorus:
Those days have past behind me
Those days have come and gone
I'm turning to my future
You know I'm going on
I'll go on, I live on
I'll be strong and move along
I'll go on, I'll live on
I will carry on and move it along
I was there on the mountain
Clouds dancing at my feet
It was the strangest of places
Two people did ever meet
You had to go down your path
And I returned to mine
Even with all the sorrow
I'd never ever trade the time
Chorus
Now I'm back on the highway
I finally feel alright
It's just me and the headlights
And the everlasting, everlasting calm of night
I take a look around me
Take a breath in deep
But I know for tomorrow to come
I've got to try to get some sleep.

great production &mdash 10/25/05 - 10:18:15 PM
Good performance.. there's a little distortion on the vocals sometimes and
sometimes there's some clicking (part of the percussion? I'm not sure),
but everything is very clear.
Quite relaxing song... reminds me sleeping is what I should be doing right
about now... ;) [ Reply to This ]

Thanks The drum is a loop. I'm horrible at building a drum line from scratch. [ Reply to This ]

The singing is good, and the lyrics are nice. You need a real backing
band! The piano loop losses me some, and cj is right there are some
weird pops or clips.
I could see you selling this one if you were a songwriter. I would love to
hear it again if you could get some music that fits a bit better. Seems like
a song with a lot of potential. You have a good singing voice. [ Reply to This ]

And I meant drum loop! Why I typed piano I do not know. I think the loop lock in
your playing too much, so you can't shake it up as much.

Thank you. Those clicks are from my "wonderful" mobilepre. Thanks for the
words. I wish it were so easy to find a band in Nebraska. Or sell a song for
that matter. Thanks for taking the time.

Nice song! &mdash 10/26/05 - 03:40:17 AM
This is a nice, melodic song. The vocals are very appealing, I do agree
with the others that the drum loop is a bit distracting, it kind of sounds
like the rest of the track is fighting against it. Might be cos the drums
are playing on the beat and the rhythm is on the off beat? But it is a
very nice performance overall
