Description:
According to String Theory there may be 12 or more dimensions....New technology is being developed to upshift the vibratory frequency of individuals so they may travel between these various dimensions. This is a musical representation of what someday may become reality....CAUTION! Do not listen while driving or operating heavy equipment.

there are 666 dimensions (6 to the power of 6 to the power of 6, or something like that). Read it up in Heinlein's "The Number Of The Beast".

The song is quite good, although with so many dimensions one would expect them to bee more different from each other. They all sound a bit same-ish to me, or did you not try to musically travel through various dimensions? Then, of course, I got you all wrong and the song is just good. Period.

Actually &mdash 10/28/05 - 12:31:09 PM
Hi Duck:
In the time frame that I went to, the scientists had only been able to tap into
one dimension at a time...They had not yet extrapolated how to travel between
dimensions at the will of the traveler...Maybe a future composition will jump 25
years ahead when the traveler carries the controls with them and they can hop
from one dimension to the other at will. I do agree that when all is said and
done there is likely to be way more dimensions of time and space and ? than we
ever imagined...Thanks for your feedback and
encouragement....Peace and Light!....digitalnirvana9

Now...am I back to the same dimension? &mdash 10/29/05 - 01:14:44 AM
That was an otherworldy experience, musically speaking. Good to know
that some musicians here have well-developed left brain, too...the side
that thinks about intellectual stuff, like the philosophy that is called string
theory (I dare say it is a philosophy as it has not yet been replicated and
empirically proven). Back to your music...it is both ethereal and cerebral.

Now...am I back to the same dimension? &mdash 10/29/05 - 08:03:56 PM
Thank you, Leon:
I strive to integrate both left brain and right brain function in my music. Leon
you picked up on that, thanks for that perception, and bringing it out...For
some, multi-dimensional reality is still a philosophy, but for those who
experience, they know the truth of the matter; as Immanuel Kant proved there is
a limit to reason and thus one must ultimately learn through experience.
Remember, many are called but few are chosen.

if you only knew &mdash 10/29/05 - 12:22:36 PM
how fun it is d-skipping, as we dragons call it... we smirk at the attempts
of scientists to get their flatland brains around the concept of what the
shape of the universe is... we often snidely refer to this as "silly string
theory". To paraphrase Ghandi, who got close to understanding it all, "Be
the universe you want to live in". But I digress.
Interesting use of dissonances and pentatonics. Overall this was an
intriguing mosaic of musical ideas, and you stitched them together nicely.
I look forward to more musical dimensions from you.
ttfn,
Drakonis

Hi Drokonis:
You're right! I'm probably closer to Gahndi than Michio Kaku on that one. But
hey, you gotta give people a point of reference that they can relate to...Peace
and Light to You....digitalnirvana9

Interesting… &mdash 10/29/05 - 12:55:30 PM
but I'd have liked to have seen it taken further. It gets a little
random towards the end, which fits in with your theme, but I'd
have liked more development in your ideas maybe. Not really New
Age either, I'd have said, but whether that matters I'm not sure.
But like I say, an interesting exploration of sound and ideas.

Interesting… &mdash 10/29/05 - 08:39:11 PM
Hi Epileptic:
Thank you for your feedback....I'd like to see some of my ideas more fully
developed too....I'm just trying to gather the musical "Chops" to more
adequately express myself....I'm trying my hand at this esoteric pencil tool
to see if I can transcend some of my musical limitations....I was so impressed
with some of Alimar's music..anyway, I'll keep my art expanding....Peace to
you....digitalnirvana9

Nice one! I wish you luck, my friend. Alimar is a great MacJammer to
aspire to and I look forward to hearing more of your stuff when I get the
chance.

reminds me of slacker &mdash 10/30/05 - 10:59:23 AM
This is a really loose association on my part, but this track reminds
me of Richard Linklater's movie "Slacker", where there is no character
that is ever seen more than four or five minutes. The camera will
come into a scene by one character, and after a brief interaction it
will follow some other character on to the next scene. The result
is a movie that doesn't have a story at all, but still ends up being a
statement despite that. That movie takes place in Austin, TX in the 90's,
and you've got a sci-fi thing going on instead.

Nice soundscape!

I wanted to add that it didn't escape me that the number 12
is actually embedded into the structure of the piece. I counted
12 distinct scenes, starting with the rumbling whooshing machine
at the beginning all the way to the last synth chorus after the horns.
Hope I'm not miscounting. :-)

Hi Screaming:
Its interesting that you mention this as I'm a video producer/editor/camera/
effects person....I saw Slacker and found it to be an innovative and interesting
film. I think you're very perceptinve in picking up on this filmic quality to my
music...I hope eventually to use it in my electronic cinematography....
If you refer to a piece I just put out, Deep Çoma and Beyond, it uses much the
same structure but is more refined in comcept and uses a broader musical
palette....Peace to you, digitalnirvana9
