"You are the ship I sail
Toward a tempest that waits for me.

And my pride is killing me.
But I'm no good for myself"

Lyrics
You are the test I fail,
The measurement of where I stand.
One step from the gates of Hell,
One inch from the burning man.

But I'm no good for myself
Not by the mirror that I look into.
How can I love anybody else?
How can I ever be anything to you?

You are the ship I sail,
Toward a tempest that waits for me.
And I'm Ahab, I chase my whale,
And my pride is killing me!

But I'm no good for myself,
Not by the mirror that I look into.
How can I love anybody else?
How can I ever be anything to you?

Great Song
Domo arigato gozaimasu!
btw,
You are very talented and patient editor! And also your survey on the
"loopiness", as it were, of your song was wonderfully and masterfully
executed!

Thanks Again,
Jefferson

Great Song
Doitashimashite (You're welcome)

I made that fun survey because there's a camp here at MacJams who thinks
loops are evil and will cause your brain to melt. Well, they are half right. Just
haven't figured out which half yet.

Wooden Ships in the harbor
Really like the David Crosby style electric guitar, your fingers on the
strings, the amp/recording. And your voice, very good. I thought the
entrance of the bass seemed random, altho the drums entrance was really
good, nice pick up notes. Dug the whole vibe. (Altho, in my ears, too
many repeats of the same lyric toward the end, could've used a few lyric
variations.) I thought Moby Dick was one of the greatest books ever
written; nice allegory. Really nice track.

Hmm...nice
Pretty cool. I really dig the guitar playing on this tune. Interesting lyrics
- especially the Moby Dick reference - that are sung very well here.
The bass entrance was kinda odd to my ears as well, but the full band
coming in after the first chorus was well-done.
