Maybe there's something that you can take for this insane ability to
create a tune and turn it into a masterpiece of works...

I dunno...

Thanks Cyd, it is sure great to have the palette of Tchaikovsky's music to work
with.. There is a certain section in there that he wrote that really grabs me like
hardly any other music does.

Thanks so much for coming back and posting!

when I grow up... &mdash 11/03/05 - 07:58:54 PM
...I want to be a big and strong guitar player just like you.
I'm eating my Wheaties and practicing the fundamentals,
but the road up the mountain seems so long and tracks
like this do as much to depress me as they do to inspire me.

:-)

I don't mean to lay it on your shoulders. I just wanted to
make it clear that your playing is like magic to me.

Oh, and Comment Tag...you're it. The baton word is "verklempt".
See this thread if that
makes no sense to you.

The swan appeared in my roof over one's head.
Beautiful, noble examination.
Very wonderful performance.

Beautiful... &mdash 11/04/05 - 10:39:58 AM
you are as they have said a brilliant guitarist -
I particularly love the intensity and change at 2:06
I wonder how this would have sounded on nylon strings???
What is the rattle at 2:34? That was perfect...
Great stuff

Thanks Mokus

At 2:34, when I do a high run and go back down again, I have sometimes a
breather (I call it) where I feel a bit more confident in doing a bit of finger
sustain and wiggling the appointed string in order to give that particular note
some added flair. I would like to think it brings out the feeling of what I feel
of the piece, it's sacredness. It is such a classic!

Those runs, have a great diminished sound and I thought I would expand that
section's palette. Through the years of working on pieces I've come to realize
there are key ingredients in getting more flavor out of the acoustical guitar.
One is that the acoustical guitar has certain keys where you can brng out
more flavor or (juice). :)

Like the Jack Lalanne Power Juicer. Because of it's superior capabilities in
acquiring more juice for the drinker. So does playing and composing in
certain keys bring out more flavor in fingerpicking (acoustical) guitar.
Diminished cords can be powerful when done in succession if you get the
right musical piece.
So just like the juicer, certain keys can be more powerful than others if you
hit on the right guitar instrumental solo.
Like open chords etc.

I'm having a Tiler night -- just listening to these wonderful songs of
yours, loving every note. I've always loved Swan Lake and you do it
such justice. There are moments when it almost sounded like you were
playing a harp. Absolutely gorgeous, Bill!
